Actually there’s probably a good explanation for this! While in Japan Eggman has always had that name, in the west Eggman was known as Robotnik. This name difference had been canonized as having Doctor Robotnik be his true name, however starting with Sonic Adventure Sonic started calling him Eggman as a form of mockery (With the evil scientist eventually taking on the name with pride in Sonic Adventure 2). My theory is that since Team Chaotix only ever met Eggman during the events of Knuckles Chaotix (Events that Sonic happened to be absent in), Vector and his crew would have only ever known him as Doctor Robotnik and therefore didn’t initially realize the name Eggman was in reference to the same person.

I feel a few things couple be changed to make Team Chaotix Route make sense ((Seaside Hill)) Eggman on the speaker will talking about how he was capturee by eggman (metal sonic) and needs their help to get him out so on Seaside hill the Chaotixs are tasked to find 8 terminals and get their passwords , which eggman will use then yoy collected all 8 to unlock the door which doesnt work hell tell the chaotix to go to Metropolis as they accidentally have a boss with Metal Sonic in the Egg-Hawk ((Metropolis)) The crew into Eggmans main base Metropolis were the Eggman tasks the crew to find a locate a Computer Room after that they give some more Passwords to Eggman which didnt wokr again they tell for now to go help people from Eggman until he thinks of a new plan ((Casino Park)) The Chaorix toke a detour to Casino Park to the have fun and mess around theb they accidentally encountered Eggman again Vector and Espio question the doctor about his hostage he accidentally spilled the Mean-Beans and told that their was a secret weapon on Rail-Canyon that will make Eggman rule the world , The Chaotix beat his ass and then went to Rail-Canyon ((Rail Canyon)) As the Chaotix came inside to the Canyon they told Eggman on the radio about the Secret Weapon Eggman quickly told them to destory the weapon they then made it to the Egg Albatross and destroyed then after that Eggman remembers their are some unqiue chao their to protect ((Frog Forest)) The Chaotix are tasked to rescue all the Chao they can find in the Jungle which are 20 and are easy to find theses chap sre unqiue becuase they were exposed to chaos energy after Chaos flodded Station Square afterwards Charmy told Cream to hand over that chao Vector and Espio told him off and seeing wjay was happening Amy and Big jumped in and told to back off and not to steal another chao from them Vector got confused as Charmy realised he made the situation worse and angry got the best of her and got ready for a brawl as thr Chaotix won and left them alone (Thats all rn my fingers are tired)

Client: It's very mysterious around here. Me: You're telling me! Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion are the BANES of my existence!! Not just as Team Chaotix, either, but also Teams Sonic, Dark AND Rose as well! Team Rose, I had quite a few problems, but managed to only just scrape through to the end of their story. Team Sonic, being the ACTUAL team you want to beat this game as and the novice gamer that I am known to be, I had PLENTY of trouble with not only Hang Castle and Mystic Mansion, but also Robot Storm. However, unlike with Team Dark who I am STILL stuck on that fight as, I did eventually make it to Egg Fleet and have not gone any further than that. Team Chaotix however were the REAL upset! I didn't just get stuck on THESE two levels and their boss fight, but I also faced SEVERAL MORE roadblocks on my way to them in the form of Rail Canyon, Bullet Station, Lost Jungle and Team Rose before tackling these AWFUL levels and getting forever stuck on the boss fight! Haven't gone ANY further since, but I HAVE seen the rest of Team Chaotix's storyline and considering what I went through trying to get past these levels COUNTLESS times, I know for a fact that I will NEVER stand a chance at ANY of it! If anyone ever decides to try to convince me to finish the game, I promise you all that I WILL NOT be looking forward to returning...
