That caught me off guard too! Would've gave the story of Superstars more context rather than just leaving bits out that should've been connected. Like, where did the Dragon (the True Final Boss) even come from? How was he awakened? Did Robotnik do that or was it the whole Chaos situation where he got betrayed?

In fact, the part where Knuckles saw Trip's family is a little heartbreaking. If you look closely, you can see him blowing at one point, giving the impression that he envies Trip because she has a family and that he would like to know someone who shares a similar story to him. In fact, the whole story is a bit sad because it shows that Knuckles tries to do good things without thinking bad things. He wanted to train Trip because he probably didn't want to disappoint her, he saw that she was a child who took him as a model and on top of that, there was her boss in front of her so he accepted. He tried to train Trip the hard way to become a real fighter but ended up making her cry unintentionally, he grew up with this method. He tried to help others at the camping but ended up breaking everything because of his incredible strength ect...

Did you forget Ariem can't access the real world? She is completely restrained by her engagement for Reverie Haven, there's no proof she can access the world and even less she becomes important at a point she forms a whole team with Knuckles and Trip. Not to mention Knuckles already belongs to a whole team, and there's no character that belongs to 2 teams. Amy has Team Rose even if she is as iconic as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles. As well as Knuckles has Team Sonic.

I loved the story, it shed light in Knuckles' life, basically Knuckles didn't have any adult figures in his life so he has to learn on his own, which makes him have difficulties in his friendships, but he is willing to learn from his mistakes. By the way i was surprised that Trip has a clan of other sungazers, also looking forward for the Shadow one-shot, the Chaotix anniversary special and in 2026 celebrating the 100th issue!

It was really cute as a comic, it's funny to see that despite all his faults, Knuckles remains a nice guy who looks out for his friends. Also, Knuckles says Trip is a child, does that mean she's the same age as Tails or Amy? Here’s how I viewed the ages of the Classic Characters: Classic: Sonic: Age 11 Amy: Age 9 Tails: Age 6 Knuckles: Age 12 Trip: Age 7 I assumed there’s a four-year time skip from Classic to Modern when looking at their designs for Sonic and the others. So Trip is older than Tails but by one year.

Heres what i would do to Introduse Modern Trip's Design, go and make a Advance Esque game with only two charaters, Sonic & Trip, sonic has the drop dash. Also it gives Trip some Adventure art too, also the plot this time is that there's a new island unmarked on any map, and Sonic found out about it, and low & behold, Dr Eggman's there too, luckily Trip makes her Modern Debut in the opening, she liturally jumps eggman, as it turns out, the island is the Mysteax Island, trip knew it in a dream back when she was in her youth, remembering a knight of dread... it seems like Dr Eggman's going to the usual again... Zones (All are 2 acts each with a miniboss & boss) 1. Rapid Coast Zone 2. Barista Badlands Zone 3. Umbra Plaza Zone 4. Chill Ride Zone 5. Relic Mire Zone 6. Network Rush Zone 7. Uhh...the game characters weren't exactly useless on their own without sonic in the Comics infact the game characters were perfectly to handle themselves too even without sonic like I remember in the zeti-hunting arc tails was the one saving sonic's ass from the deadly six. Or Amy with belle,tangle,jewel managed to save a camp from go on fire by working together without the help of sonic. So what are you talking about man.

@@JakeThehedgehog-m1x What I mean is that there are people out there who complain about Sonic's friends even when they're arguably at their best. They will simply never see these characters as anything other than "Sonic's Stupid Friends." And you see this attitude literally everywhere, in video game reviews and (in my opinion, unfunny) internet memes and such. I truly feel like this overly negative attitude has had a bad effect on the game series itself, because it's taught the people who work on these games that there is absolutely no point in putting any effort into these characters at all; because people will hate them regardless. That's why we've had practically a decade's worth of Sonic games where Sonic's friends are, not only not allowed to be playable characters, but also stuck on the sidelines, twiddling their thumbs with absolutely nothing worthwhile in the story to do other than to gush over Sonic, almost as a way to make him look cooler by comparison. I've never agreed with that. You don't make your main character better by making the supporting cast worse.

​@@bowmaj8666 hmmm...i can see from what perspective you are coming from and you are right i really hate that ((sonic's stupid friends)) mentality aswelll from both critics and fans from that time they add more to the series not slowing it down they should take some spotlight aswell so yeah i agree having sonic's friends sidelined was really sucks and they got regressed too over time. But im 100% positive the IDW comics for the nost part definitely utilized the game characters better than games for the most (except shadow but thankfully his mandates has been toned down aswell) IDW utiltized both of it's game cast and the original cast of characters very well and adding abut development too them aswell now ofc it's not perfect it definitely has some flaws here and there i personally do have some criticims aswell but for the most part it did a good job utilize their characters well.. until frontiers and shadow generations,sonic dream team and made tails, Amy,Knuckles and shadow,cream and rouge playable again after a long time decided to finally flesh-out the modern cast of sonic.

Clearly i was right to think the sonic IDW comics can infact introduce new locations and world building that we've never seen in games despite being canon to the game continuity like this sungazers village does count as a new world building and location because we never seen like this and we never knew it even existed until now.

I like that trip is now part of the classic team shes n awesome character in superstars and im not just saying it not only because im fan of this game because she n sage are very nice writed female charactes not legendary like amy n rouge but their are really great i hope she will return in something like superstars sequel or n other new 2d game or other media
