Sonic Mania Debug Cutscene Glitch

Shorter Video: • Sonic Mania Debug Cuts...
This glitch I discovered allows the player to enter debug mode for certain cutscenes in Sonic Mania. Some interesting results happen when placing items. This glitch works on all platforms and is compatible with all versions as of now (latest being 1.03).
To activate it, you must enter debug mode and start up a game. 2 seconds after the screen goes black, tap the debug button and Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles will enter debug mode while in the cutscene.

Hun Lepto It’s not. The cutscene version of GHZ is just a duplicate of the actual level without the entities and with the cutscene related things added.

Wow, 2 years later and this is getting recommended to me again. This video doesn't even scratch the surface of the brokenness of this glitch, at least in the plus update. In the intro, if you finish the 'zone', it'll put you in encore green hill. With mania mode mechanics. Any character. Debug mode. But after you finish angel island, it'll change you to sonic and what character you picked. It's so broken and I love it.

That empty green hill zone reminds me of the clone map I saw going past the boundaries of the normal maps in Sonic 3 and Knuckles. No empties, incomplete physics on certain loops and special platforms, some wired palletes and tiles, and it was empty. I even found act 2 boss in act 1 of marble hill zone I think the name was. To find this with normal debug mode in this game is really impressive though.

@@gneu1527, it's more of if you fly outside the map of Sonic 3 and Knuckles there will be a duplicate version past the end of the normal one, except it is empty with some tiles missing and maybe things like water. The loop physics do not work properly, but there is data for things like boss fights still loaded in even though it is only act 1. I did not do it a lot in Angel Island, but you can probably do something similar, though you cannot easily avoid the place being set on fire.

7:10: it's very similar if you in hydrocity zone in sonic 3 & knuckles and you go in a wall and press left then use debug to go up as knuckles you go to the sonic boss battle and there is no boss but if you go further there is a bit which goes like 50 pixels lower and on top of that is an empty hydrocity and it cuts off and the bit wheres there is a pipe and sonic goes in it and it goes up and down i did it today.
