I love how this adaptation subverts the main cast, more specifically Sonic, Metal Sonic, and my favorite character from the movie, Sara. Not only is Sonic lazy and annoying at times, he gets what he deserves for the constant “Shut up”s, and I like how Sara is the villain this time, instead of Robotnik! Aside from those changes, and an Indiana Jones scene with Knuckles, it is a faithful adaptation!

@@Maxime_Martyr The joke is more so how she's the damsel in distress and presumably Sonic's girlfriend, and yet she complies a bit too much with it for her own good. She teases Robotnik that she won't stay his captive if he didn't keep playing video games with her, which he was going to refuse due to being a sore loser, and once he puts her in a wedding dress (Which makes you question the ages and such, and whether or not this is appropriate, even for a villain in a family-friendly film), she starts being a bit more submissive and asks him if he thinks she looks cute. Also, somewhat unrelated, but in a different fanfilm, Sonic Villains, Sara is one of many characters to be showing up in the film, except she's now a villain because of Robotnik's mind control.

Keep in mind that anthro animals don't exist in the real world, and they only exist due to us projecting human qualities onto animals. They aren't quite the same as real animals. This is the kind of thing that Who Framed Roger Rabbit did with Roger and Jessica, as well as Fleischer Studios with Bimbo the Dog and Betty Boop (who was originally a dog before she became a human). b. At least, unlike Elise (Who looked like a character out of Final Fantasy) and Madonna (Who might have been too old for Sonic, but they never really gave a shit about Sonic's age, so...), Sara is not only around Sonic's age in the OVA, but she isn't fully human. She has more human characteristics, but she's half human, half cat, as evidenced by her cat ears and cat tail. c. If parodies are only parodies because they make fun of accurate points of the originals, what really constitutes a parody in that sense? Would you consider a fan comic that is directly based on aspects of the original work, like Where was my hero?, to be a parody? Would you consider a fan animation that tackles aspects of the fanbase and not the game itself, like Sonic vs Rule 34, to not be a parody? Maybe clarify to me what you would consider to be a parody in the Sonic community, by your own definition.

Madonna? Who is she? I don't know any Sonic character named Madonna. I already explained, the concept of a parody is to accurately make fun of an original work by emphasizing its flaws such as its absurd points or illogical reasonings, for example making fun of Sonic's laziness by sticking him to a lounge chair to emphasize his actual laziness. However making up something which is not accurate with the original work such as making up an evil Sara even though she is not actually evil in the original work is not a parody because it doesn't make fun of an actual point by emphasizing it since it completely makes up a point which doesn't exist in the first place. A parody is funny because it is accurate, it makes you think "LOL, that is so true!" but if it makes things up without any actual basis on the original work then it is no more related to the original work, it becomes a made up story without any base and it is no more a parody, which is why I don't understand where does this evil Sara came from if there is no basis of an evil Sara in the original movie to emphasize in the first place, this is made up stuff which came from nowhere because it is not based on the original movie.

Besides, Sara got a change then in said OVA. OVA: - did get the dress from eggman, but then wasn't happy BC he wanted to marry her once the planet was destroyed. - is on sonic's side - didn't get a hole in the stomach after getting out of Metal Robotnik Parody: - is actually evil, and got the dress from nowhere. - is mostly on eggman's side, but after she divorced him for not defeating sonic, she went on taking half of eggman's things. - got a hole in the stomach after getting out of Metal Robotnik, but got revived with a checkpoint from the classic sonic games. *brilliant changes in characters, roger!*
