Sonic RPG - Episode 1 [Remake] [18th Anniversary]

SONIC RPG was released on December 19, 2005. Yes, that's how old this series is. And here I was thinking it would be a good idea to remake the first episode. And I even suggested my friends to make a collaborative animation! Originally, there was supposed to be one other person in the collab. But alas. It didn't work out.
But I really hope you enjoy our work!

Honestly, I've gone speechless about the overhaul with dialogues and the sprite animations in terms of character expressions. This truly made me feel like a remake is definitely needed, just at least to live the nostalgia of flash games again ❤ ❤ Truly a love letter to the era of Adobe Flash and games that were made out of it

Now this takes me back. Sonic RPG was one of my favorite Sonic Flash series from back in the day. While it started off rough, it definitely ended on a high note and I have a lot of respect to MidNightMaren for creating that series and one of my favorite Sonic fan villains, Seelkadoom. This is a really solid remake of the 1st episode. Great work to everyone who worked on it.

8:48 I was gonna comment Shadow shouldn't be able to use Chaos Control after losing the emerald, but on rewatch, I'm assuming it was cause Shadow briefly absorbed some chaos energy from the Master Emerald before Knuckles interrupted. If that's the case, I love the way Nashura subtly hinted it with the number gauge appearing on the emerald UI.

This remake has a neat Easter egg the fact eggman called seelkadoom Shadic is a twist to the wiki being seelkadoom is just a evil version of Shadic by his design

Feels a little off how Shadow can use Chaos Control without his Chaos Emerald (or a substitute like the Holy Sapphire) when he consistently can't in Sonic RPG proper Aside from that, great work!
