Pretty brutal review for Superstars lol, although I wouldn't disagree. Both are nice but Wonder is just too good.

Yup, a part of me wanted to go easier on Superstars but in the end it just had too many issues for me to ignore, even if overall I liked it. Wonder is definitely a level above though haha

Broooo. Comparing these two games isn't even a contest. I would say its "almost unfair". But its really not. Sega has no excuse to not to put out a 2D Sonic that can meet the standards that Mario Wonder does. I don't think Superstars is an absolutely irredeemable game, because on surface level, it is a decent 2D Sonic game "on its own". But that's the problem. Its only this amazing game if you don't recognize other 2D games, and even other 2D Sonic games, do what its trying to do far better. It has too much lack of polish to be priced at $60. I also hate its lack of truly unique ideas that can make Sonic stand out from Mario like he once did back in the 90s. The entire appeal of his series in the first place? Just embarrassing. For those reasons, comparing these games is laughable at best. But just depressing at worst... *cough* Mm. Good video though 👌
