To be fair, in this game Amy is Sonic but better. She's arguably the best character with the double jump and extended attack reach. And given that a huge complaint people have with this game is the bosses, most are trivialized by her double jump (not great that you need to cheese them to be playable, but it is a workaround). She's my preferred way to play this game

Think game was definitely a good time. Think stages could have been more original, some of bosses were annoying and game bugs need to be fixed. Also would have personally liked the to be 2d pixel like Mania. Apart from those things and other lil nitpicks, it’s pretty nice, plus those animations were gorgeous and the new character is so wholesome. 💙💛❤️🩷🧡

Honestly the bosses in general aren't good. Some are challenging yes, and those I was ok with, I like my reflexes tested. However I don't like my bosses taking up a fifth of my time in a stage!

@@cafequente8252 The long answer: More detailed, surreal, and unique environments. a lot of areas in superstars feel very safe and plain, just altered versions of existing areas (sand sanctuary is like sandopolis, pinball carnival is like carnival night but with lame background, lagoon city is like hydrocity but with less color and detail). an area like speed jungle is very detailed and pretty, but like...it's also mostly just a jungle. it doesn't feel very "out there and surreal" like the best areas of CD or Mania, which have the most beloved environments in classic sonic for a reason. golden capital and cyberstation are unique concepts, but lack a lot of detail. if you want MY ideas for zones...well i've imagined stuff like a flying kingdom in the sky with waterfalls and solid rainbows to run on. a bright neon cyberpunk-esque city with wallrunning. or an array of steampunk inspired structures in the clouds. The short answer: Megamix mania. stuff like starry night and misty maze act 2 are amazing. basically every zone there is more interesting than superstars environments imo. if you haven't already you should check it out, it's a very impressive mod

It's more than fair to say that 2022 has been a great year for Sonic. And in your special case, Amy has finally been released from her "sideline shackles" and is free to be a purely active member of the cast again after so long! I've been really enjoying this game ^^ The lack of recovery during bosses is pretty bad for the last quater of the game, but that's pretty much my only complaint. I've been going back to the game a lot, so yeah I'm having a great time with it ^^ Hearing your excitement about it on stream has been fun ^^

Glad to see more people loving the game its a little rough with mostly biggest gripe being bosses taking forever in some regards and the music being hit or miss this game is legit great and having the emeralds being powerups such a great idea and hope they keep the idea for the future

Despite it's flaws I did enjoy Sonic Superstars. The game looks great in the new zones, lots of characters to choose from, Emerald powers are fun to use, and not gonna lie 4 player co-op is a chaotic fun time. I was so happy to have gone through this game in 2 player with my best friend & gonna guide another friend through this game for the first time so he could get the full Sonic SuperStars. I really do hope if SEGA does continue to more Classic Sonic games in the future they improve and learn to make a game like this better. Still keeping my fingers crossed we could a SuperStars DLC with Mighty & Ray joining. With more villians joining up like Bean & Bark.

Superstars is one of those games where it's kinda mid, but it's still a good game in its own right. Wish the bosses weren't as drawn out as, if not even more than, Rush 1's... (Also that animatic at the start is so good, whoever did that should be so proud of themselves)

I loved this game so much. I started off playing sonic for the most of it but when I got to the multi-player robot boss I was struggling hard but when I switched characters to amy, her double jumps helped so much and I just played her for the rest of the game. She and trip are so awesome in this game, and I love them so much for that. Trip is definitely now on my favorite sonic characters list. And the multi-player is so fun to play. I love this game!!!! 💙💛❤️🩷🧡

However viewer wise the previous video I see u clipping through train as the Amy as u destroy everything in your path and then I have to watch u play like a noob. Which feels really inconsistent especially since I haven't alot of sonic superstars content with the only stuff being Alphrads video and your speed run vid and now this video. So everything is everywhere for me at the moment lol, though that animation vid at the start was hilarious 😂
