The half-invisible plants you guys have mentioned are a side effect of a method often used in games from that era to achieve the illusion of transparency called dithering. It's often blurred out when using composite cables, to a point where it looks rather convincing, but RGB has no such mercy and the secret is revealed. It's a hardware limitation from back then.

I know. Sonic 3&K tends to get knocked down a peg. I guess it's gotten more love in recent years, but I still hear people who think that the series actually went downhill with Sonic 3. I've always thought Sonic 3&K was the most balanced game of the Genesis era. I love Sonic 3&K. Sonic 2 is good, but my patience wanes starting in Oil Ocean, and I stop liking it after Metropolis Zone.

Neil, I agree. I think 3&K, even separate, are a better game or games than 2. 2 has some levels that really just aren't that much fun, like Oil Ocean. It does get better at the end of the game, but imo, it's not he best Sonic game. I think people just tend to hop on bandwagons, and somehow 2 got put up on a pedestal over time.

The in-game audio and the camera audio (of the game's sounds) aren't in perfect sync. It's not an easy task to check every part of the video project and match both audio files. Sometimes, it just doesn't work.

INKstreme Actually you can just face the controller towards the camera so it can see you press start button or similar. It becomes a visual sync which helps a lot.

Thanks for the video guys. Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles are my favs of all time. As for chaos emeralds, collecting all 7 allows you to transform into Super Sonic, which is pretty fun. If ya'll do sonic 3, I recommend doing it with the Sonic and Knuckles lock-on so you can experience both halves of the game in its entirety. That game also has bonus stages, and if you collect all the emeralds there, you can get the final hidden boss and real ending. Cheers

It's great to see you guys play this. I love this game, and I know every last in and out to it. Gathering all 7 emeralds not only gives you access to Super Sonic and a slightly altered ending, but by extension (and with some help from some really awesome glitchery), they also give you access to "Super Tails" and two even-faster and even-higher-jumping versions of Super Sonic (dubbed "Mega Sonic" and "Hyper Sonic").

I played all sonics(on sega), i collected all emeralds, you know, there's extra stages as a super sonic flying through space as a super sonic. Yes, double jump will transform to super sonic(in sonic 3) if you have 50+ rings and simple jump in sonic 2. Sonic 1 just doesn't have super sonic.

+Cinemassacre All the chaos Emeralds in Sonic 2 get you Super Sonic and a different ending. Remember to plug Sonic 3 in to Sonic and Knuckles for an extended version of the game. Getting all 14 Chaos Emeralds in Sonic 3 & Knuckles gives you Hyper Sonic and a new final boss.

hi guys, and james, I'm like a game master of the retro days and I have to tell you, if you get 50 rings and hit the check mark, you can play the bonus stage, all the rings come back to the stage after doing so. if you get all the chaos emeralds the bonus stage disappears and once you collect 50 rings and jump, you can become super sayan sonic.

The chaos emeralds let you turn into super sonic. If you reset the game, go to the options menu and press start the game will start at the beginning of the game with any emeralds you had before

I had the Sonic Collection on Genesis and it was amazing. The I got a Dreamcast and Sonic Adventure became my favorite game for the longest time, and still is my favorite Sonic game.

I believe the crab conundrum could've been solved as Tails was only off-screen a little which was not far enough to trigger a respawn
