For those wondering about Knuckles: he does have victory animations and quotes (as displayed here) but it's only possible to see them through glitching, as Knuckles does not complete any stages. In Sonic's Flame Core, you can clip out of bounds in Knuckles' section and then finish the level with him. You can do the same thing with Rouge in the same room in Shadow's story, but it's not necessary if you want to see her victory quotes in-game.

The characters seem to reference time when they get a C. Which is perfect for all the characters quote. Sonic saying "Hmph, No problem." Meaning that time won't be an issue again. Shadow saying he needs to stay focus, since he's always been determined to see things through on a mission since his first game all the way till now. Silver who's on a race to save the future and on a time limit "That took too long." Was his C rank. Omega is known to call itself Eggman perfect Robot so he knows Eggcelency. 😂
