I love how you're basically forced into taking advantage of the terrible hit detection of the debris in order to make it through without taking a hit. In a better-programmed game, quite a bit of that stuff would've hit you. Of course, in a better-designed game, that wouldn't be required, anyways. But seriously, hats off to you, sir. You have accomplished something I'm sure I'd never be able to do in my lifetime.

The actual level design of the mach speed section is sound in theory, what they completely fucked up was that the cars can interact with the boxes and break down. Each individual car part is a fricking hitbox as well as some (but not all because lmao) of the box fragments. And you're right, two things should have hit me here, at the very least, that didn't. But hey I'm pretty sure you can get it done if you have the patience !

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous that even a small tire decimates Sonic's ring count, even. It's a shame, too, because the general stage of Crisis City actually approaches decent territory, it's just that there are too many segments that are either poorly-thought out or designed to really make it enjoyable. Thanks, ha ha. I've tried several times, but something about Sonic 06...hmm, how should I put it? Playing this game kinda depresses me in a way. It's so empty and lifeless compared to almost every other game I can think of. Like, even beyond the technical issues, this game's presentation is one of the blandest I've ever seen.

My general view of Sonic's stages (aside from fucking Aquatic Base fuck that stage) in this game is that they are well designed and have concise thought in object/enemy placement as well as multiple routes. It's a shame that combining Sonic's awkward max speed in vanilla (it's not too fast but it's not *too* slow just comfortable jogging), various inconsistant problems resulting from dodgy programming and some problems this formula naturally has had since it's very conception in Adventure 1 results in a less than ideal experience. Presentation-wise this game's just weird lol It reminds me of a half life mod but with Sonic in it. And I mean like the first half life with dead polygons and dodgy shading. Unleashed basically took whatever this game aimed to do thematically in terms of art and realized it INFINITELY better

So, Sonic got through a box and crashed into some debris but nothing happened. Were are the huge and eternal hitboxes??? Because I'm sure a little piece of wood from a box would count as a hit XD

You are invincible during Light Dash but a few of those things didn't hit me because of poor collision detection (likewise due to poor collision detection you sometimes get hit due to random shit that shouldn't hit you)
