This game is so nostalgic to me. I remember playing this when i was 4 or 5, it was my favorite game. Haven’t seen any game plan until now, and I recognize every sound and every level. The casino stages I played the most, because I was always stuck on them,

This feels like the Twilight Zone of classic Sonic the Hedgehog. Everything is like a classic sonic game but it feels so.. off. Like it's slightly shifted into some evil alternative dimension.

Mastikator Episode 1 of Sonic 4 admittingly feels like a weird, cheaply made immitation of Classic Sonic; it's like a cake that's only been half-baked and you can only taste the ingredients that made it, not the Cake as a whole product.

If you had to ask me, the level design isn’t the issue, because it’s actually pretty solid. The issue is the way the game plays. When you jump, your momentum is only active of you’re controlling sonic, making the level less of a challenge. My second issue also has to do with jumps. The airtime in this game is extremely unnecessary, especially the airtime you get when you jump, which probably is the main reason for my first complaint.

I remember hating this game when I was 6, but now? I feel like this game is just so nostalgic, and I still remember this game. Sonic 4 episode 1 is one of the best games ever it’s my 5th favorite sega game

...Universe. After Tails and Shadow sent them there, Feist, (The Panda mentioned earlier) was given immense power from the emeralds and combined all of them into the 7 you see today. The Zone of Silence then became the 'Special Stage' Zone. Now Feist controls the zone and will only give Sonic and his friends an Emerald if they complete challenges he can make in the Zone with his new power. These challenges are what are called, Special Stages.) A Sonic History lesson for all you fans out there.

@UltimateReviews1 It's about 2.5 seconds and the music cuts out. So yeah I like the Genesis games where getting 100 rings silently incremented the lives and only made a noise at the end of the stage for scoring an extra life. In the special stages, do you seriously prefer the lullaby music in this game to Sonic 2 or 3's? Yeah this music is similar to Sonic 1, but yeesh it and all the coin collecting for unneeded lives just means I have to keep clicking forward to advance the video.

It then makes it no fun. I have Sonic for Neo Pocket Gear and I was also disappointed in it because they used the sonic songs from sonic 3 and from sonic and knuckles and the same levels but renamed them all and made them different but it was still the same obstacles.

If Sega makes Episode 2, for you next videos, please get fewer extra lives. The sound effect is annoying. Also the special stage is boring with that music. Sega should have given it energetic music. If they keep that music, please get fewer coins and focus on the emerald.
