The fan game here aims to be a high quality fan game that adds new concepts while keeping core Sonic gameplay elements from the original trilogy. As such, the aim is to not re-invent the wheel. Game physics are accurate and should just feel like a continuation of any other sonic game with a few QOL enhancements and exciting new level ideas. The creator wanted to release the game sometime that year (2022) to coincide with the 30th anniversary games.
Quick Notes
Certain special stages here took a little longer than they should've been mainly cause of the physics with certain objects, so I skipped the areas that took the most time. Also, the second last stage close to the end of the demo had a claim, which was actually reasonable, so I had to mute it.

This reminds me of a flash game from the 2000s. Kind of nostalgic in a way....

The fan game is alright; it has some sprites that remind me of a mod and older game (like Sonic Advance), but it can be a little worked on a bit. I don't really like the foreground of the zones because they don't match the design language too well, look a bit hazy, and low quality. Special zones are okay too, but like you mentioned, the physics and mechanics make it a difficult task to complete. I hope you had a nice Tuesday by the way
