I'm only just realizing the background music is from Inuyasha and freaking love it! They used the right music for the right scenes like the sad music for the emotional moments and the evil music for when the bad guys are screen. That's awesome

When writers make these "what ifs time skips" in comics, often times they end up writing themselves into a wall, especially when those stories aren't supported by canon materials. In Archie Sonic's case: First, Change of Head Writers: After Ken Penders left Archie Sonic, Ian Flynn took over as Head Writer with the goal of making Archie Sonic more faithful to the canon Sonic video games with the focus being more heavily on the canon game characters and the events that canonically happened in the video games produced by SEGA of Japan and Sonic Team. That ultimately meant that the whole 30-year time skip would not happen especially since Ian Flynn doesn't support the non-canon Sonally shipping as he does the canon Sonamy shipping. Second, The Copyright Lawsuits From Ken Penders: This made Ken Penders infamous among the majority of Archie Sonic fans as those lawsuits led to the entire Archie Sonic comic series to be completely rebooted in the form of the Super Genesis Wave. This ultimately invalidated the whole 30-year "what if" time skip issues and everything that happened from issue 1 to issue 251, and in the Sonic Universe issues prior to the Super Genesis Wave. The Super Genesis Wave event meant that those events from issue 1 to 251 and in Sonic Universe issues that followed those issue's timeline never happened. This also led to the permanent removal of all 200 characters not created by SEGA of America or Sonic Team. Third, Archie Sonic's Permanent Cancellation By SEGA: This was the comic series' death blow, the coup de grâce. Worse was that no one ever got to see the three-part Sonic Overdrive mini-series concluded as many readers, myself included, were hoping to see, as it focused entirely on the classic Sonic universe and not on Sonic SatAM. Fourth, A Whole New Publishing Company Taking Over: When SEGA partnered with IDW Publishing, this meant that nothing from Archie Sonic would be carried over into IDW Sonic as SEGA wanted the new Sonic series to started with a blank slate with nothing to so do with Archie Sonic. They wanted the new series to canonically take place after all the events that happened directly after Sonic Forces. This completely and unceremoniously ended the Archie Sonic numbering and all stories from Archie Sonic, completed or not. This is why writing these 30-year time skip stories should be avoided.
