Can I just say the cutscene at 12:44 is what werehog gameplay should’ve been. He’s able to go just as fast as Sonic, but there’s no boost, and instead he has to use the environment around him to get to top speed. He could slingshot himself if he grabbed two lampposts or something and just kinda swing around in general. Kinda like a cross between sonic and spider-man, in a way. And fuck the combat, get rid of it completely and give him something like a homing attack, but instead he uses his arms to latch on and when he bounces off of the enemy he keeps his momentum. (Edit) wow I should’ve just waited two seconds, didn’t know Rad was going to say the exact same thing lmao

You said you lean towards the day time music, and it’s great in its own right, but THE NIGHT MUSIC is what shines to me. This is actually my favorite sonic game. I played this when I was about 8 years old at a friend’s house, he never played it much so I played it instead. I was already a sonic fan from growing up with sonic heroes and the speed mixed with the fighting sections with the werehog got me hooked. Easily ones of my favorite games and I have such fond memories attached to it. I like werehog sonic, the enemy designs are amazing, the music is great, I just love it
