Good video! All I can say is that it's sad that Pokemon would've genuinely been better off if Z happened on the 3DS and that was the last Pokemon game. No badly rushed SM or USUM, no poorly programmed Switch Pokemon games (Rescue Team DX aside)-Pokemon Z on the 3DS being the last game would've been a far better timeline for the franchise than the downward death spiral it's been on for about a decade now. (Preferably in this timeline as well: Gray replaces B2W2 so more resources can go into XY and ORAS, Project Gear never happens so GameFreak can actually focus on Pokemon, GO doesn't become a breakout success and ruin Pokemon spinoffs, and Pokemon becomes public domain after Z so fangames can thrive.)

Ive been playing the Romancing SaGa 2 remake and your rant about the level scaling got me thinking... RS2 is a pretty damn faithful remake of an ancient SNES game from a series that is both open world and doesn't even have character levels, and even THAT has appropriate difficulty scaling that was present even in the original release. The 7 main bosses will progress to tougher forms depending on your game progression, most of them based on how many of the other bosses you've defeated though there are some that will get more difficult depending on how you resolve some quests.

Oh hey, I started with the DS version too. I basically spent all my time on the DS before I got my hands on other stuff. People always crap on the story of this game (I can see why), but it had its moments. I actually don't have a VA preference here. The HD version of this game has many similarities to Unleashed, which I like. I don't mind 2D, because Sonic was originally made for 2D. So yeah, this game had its flaws, but it's overall good.

When this game was annoyance for release the same year as Legends Arceus, I knew this was going to be bad. Surprisingly, the end result was several times worse than what I was expecting or mentally predicted. I am going to continue to avoid supporting Game Freak in any way as well as avoid the Nintendo Switch due to Nintendo's very blunt anti-consumer practices as well as QA and QC teams giving the greenlight to version 1.0.0 of this game, which 100% looks like at most a very early beta.

I'm ngl I really liked LA and I have no idea why. I genuinely spent so much time trying to find and catch every pokemon and getting apricorns and fighting alpha pokemon that were above my level with pure determination lmao. Violet tho, I bought and dropped immédiately, biggest waste of miney in my life. I hope ZA is gonna be better, it kind of feels like they waited a bit longer to publish it than has become standard.

I think personally, I gave PLA and Scarlet the benefit of the doubt because it was Gamefreak's first real foray into open world style games. But if the next games turn out just as buggy (with more one dimensional characters and story mode), I definitely won't be buying them anymore.

Klawf is neat, but feels like dex filler. Your Titan example was helpful and that Bewear sprite caught me off guard, good lord. I figured you'd fall for Miriam, can't wait to see Poppy dressed as her. I didn't know that even the Pokedex was a god awful mess in this game.
