Sonic X Shadow Generations; A Generational Shift

My theory is that the Shadow Generations part originally started as potential DLC for Frontiers that got too ambitious so they decided to package it as a whole new game but they weren't confident enough to see if a stand alone Shadow game would sell especially since Shadow The Hedgehog 05 didn't do so hot so they decided to bundle it with a slightly tweaked up version of Generations which is seen as one of the best/most successful modern Sonic games. That also might be why Shadows level design and move set feels pretty different from what we've seen in Sonic Generations. We're pretty much getting two games in one.

I do think one of the reasons Frontiers mainly reusded level design was to focus on creating the open zone itself. But now that they've gotten a good grasp, they can improve both the open and level zones...(Though I think this game is going to be shorter than Frontiers, so it'll be quality over quantity) In short, Frontiers might have run so that Shadow Generations could Super Peel Out

8:19 Plus, as shown in the Kingdom Valley gameplay, the Doom Spears can also break through the shield of a specific Black Arms enemy that can’t be broken by neither Shadow’s normal attacks nor his regular Chaos Spears. 8:27 The Doom Blast also causes Shadow to teleport to the location of the enemy he just sent flying and strike them to the ground, if there’s no wall for them to crash into.

7:37 i think Iizuka actually said that space colony ark is not the first level of the game.I remember him mentioning it at summer game fest when talking about the demo edit: now that i think about he might've said this level is not a tutorial level which makes me think that space colony ark is the first level but maybe, the tutorial is the first 10 minutes of the open hub zone and then you play space colony ark after learning the basics but im not sure.

i got a feeling they took more inspiration from SA2 with it basicly being a super fast parkour-like game. hope they bring back the sa2 rail mechanics that would be so dope. got high hopes for this game im so hyped
