Excellent review Ben, much enjoyed the jam at the start! This unit along with the Valeton gp200 are on my radar at the moment, so your observations have been very useful - thanks mate 🎸🎸

Thank you, glad you got something from it! Valeton make some nice products. A friend of mine uses their bass strip (similar to a Tech21 style unit) and gets good sounds from it. I would imagine a lot of these Chinese products have the same internals. The Ampero version 1 is identical in most ways to this unit, in terms of operating system. In fact the same software can edit both, which is the giveaway! I'm sure Valeton are probably in on that too. Cheers, Ben.

Hello. Can you assign a second delay to the expression pedal? That would be a way to have 2 delays on the same patch
@BenFletcherGuitarАй бұрын
Unfortunately not. There's only one delay block. The expression isn't a 'block' as such. It's a 'control' that you can assign to manipulate a parameter of one of the blocks, like volume, gain, feedback etc. Hope that's clear? It's a bit tricky to describe. Cheers, Ben.

Trying to decide on a budget multi, this looks like a good one. Nice Video!

Thank you! Yes, it's very capable and very intuitive, and crazy cheap for what you get. Well worth checking out. Cheers, Ben.

Although it's not for me, I can see it is good value for money for those who like to get creative with their sound. Unlike guitars themselves which seem to be getting more expensive by the moment 🙄
@BenFletcherGuitar5 ай бұрын
Absolutely. For under 200 quid they've given you an entire rig and a good sounding one too. That's an interesting observation about prices! I hadn't thought about that, you're right. Certain gear is getting cheaper, but guitars, especially big brand ones are really going up in price. The whole Epiphone thing for instance. Is it maybe the price of wood? I mean it costs a fortune at a hardware store now, so I'm sure it costs manufacturers more too.

Multieffects are great for modulation, I find. It certainly seems to be one of the best, cheap units. I still prefer my zoom,but it's a good,useful review. I really like the sonicake pedals.

@@peterhall4852 Thank you! I think they put together an excellent value for money product in this one. Sonicake have some solid stuff in their line-up and importantly for me are very easy to deal with. Cheers, Ben.

Awesome playing and review. I love this as a budget alternative to podgo or hx stomp. You can actually assign multiple perimeters to the expression. It's in preset settings under expression. You can also press it in to activate a second assignment like a Volume/wah pedal. It is very hard toe press though, I hardly use that feature myself.

Hello. How to add a wah effect to a pedal?is this possible?
@frankfrank79215 күн бұрын
For budget pedals I have experience with the Valeton GP200 and the NUX MG300. The inability to replace one kind of block with another kind in order to get two delays or two modulation seems to be common at these lower price points. With Sonicake can you change the order of the blocks? In the Valeton you can but with NUX MG300 you cannot (or at least you couldn't back when I owned it).

This one is the same. I outline this in the 'limitations' chapter, although I can totally understand you not wanting to wade through all that! Ha! It's a shame, but I would bet with each subsequent generation these things will get more advanced. Incredible amount of tech at the price point really.

@@BenFletcherGuitar I did watch your whole video and I did hear reference to that but it wasn't clear so I asked. Sorry to have bothered you.

@@frankfrank7921 No worries. I wasn't trying to be rude or flippant, I genuinely didn't expect anyone to sit through my rambling! Ha! There's always so much info to get across for a product as complex as this, I worry about the video getting too long. Cheers, Ben.

Hello. How to add a wah effect to a pedal?is this possible?
@BenFletcherGuitar5 ай бұрын
Yes, you just have to go in to the pedal ctrl settings. From memory there is an autowah and something you can assign to the expression to control it manually. You're basically using either FX1 or FX2 to turn the effect on and off and then using the expression to manipulate it. Hope this helps.
