If you delay wake up you just need to block the overhead, haven’t seen any rain players punish the delayed wakeup

Stryker, subzero, and scorpion are all great kameos for rain, but lately I've really been enjoying cyrax. There are some really dirty setups with helichopper that leave the opponent between two portals with one combo.

And it's only the tip of the iceberg of rain, the amount of labbing this character needs is still unachieved. The possibilities for combos setup, kameo steups and more are borderline insane.

@@feedbackking1316 More about his portals setup, and how with sonya you can extend his combos to a 412 dmg combot with a. double air juggle. He is by far the coolest zoner netherrealm has made in my opinion.

Goro gives him 423 mid screen. Plus frames to use slower startup highs, overhead grab to mix up with low strings, unblockable which can be COMBO into or setup for a whirlpool overhead 50/50 on wake up. And can combo off his air projectiles full screen. People sleep on RAIN/GORO.

Yeah I think Rain/Scorpion are such amazing synergy nearly all of his moves pair well with Scorpion fireballs, I have a super simple 42% bnb for 1 bar of meter/kameo and rain always has meter. This video now makes me want to go in the lab and see if his throws/ex portal moves work with scorpion as well now.

29:02 You can see sonic whiffing a roundhouse by the randomness of the fallout of cyrax helicopter move... It's so random outside of corner .. if you don't go air borne to continue the combo its not worth using for ground kombo extension.. I dropped cyrax as a pair for rain due to those drops.. I think the Devs tried to balance that utility of that move with the randomness of the fallout.. But Baraka and Raiden are still able to get decent damage off it when they get air borne..

Starting to think that people should reevaluate how fighting games should be played cuz every game Sonic plays, he takes the same concept from one character and applies it to another character or game. If you can't beat Sonic, instead of immediately blaming the character, change the way you think and modify your approach. Just a theory

This is already a known theory. It’s well established at this point that anyone that even remotely tries to be decent at MK or other fighting games that it comes down to how you’re playing the character and that you can make any of them work with some exceptions like if a character is just absolutely terrible. But this game you can make any character work, it just comes down to the player. The “best” characters/kameos only come into play when it’s a very high level player going against another high level player due to frame data advantages. With that being said, sonic fox is not playing rain that well. Or at least as well as I’ve seen others play rain.
