SonicFox's Revenge: How a God Reclaimed Their Throne

Going into Final Kombat it felt like somehow, some way, everyone was underestimating SonicFox.
SonicFox is a six-time Evo Champion and the greatest Mortal Kombat players to ever touch the game. And yet, as the curtain was drawn on Mortal Kombat 1’s first ever World Championship, SonicFox was not the clear favorite. All eyes were on their young upstart rivals.
So SonicFox set out on the journey to reclaim the throne they never truly let go of.

@@lennyn1120 It was a laggy online tournament, not many tournament players respect those wins much and so a lot of them get annoyed when someone pops off or trys to troll after winning online. Javier made a post saying he beat Sonic with the worst character in the game and Sonic basically told him he won off gimmicks due to the lag and he'd never be able to pull that off against him in an actual tournament. I'm assuming Sonic was on the west coast of the US and Javier was in Spain. If one person talks trash or brags the other side gets to talk back especially when one player is clearly better.

I would argue if you are gonna put people like Mew2King and Daigo of all people as examples. do not talk about they "let" time pass by for them M2K is 35 and Daigo is 43. Sonicfox is 26! Daigo is literally a multi-generational champion of capcom games and M2K completely changed how melee was played and remained pretty well dominant into his late 20s/early 30s. Sonicfox is no slouch do not take that away from this tirade, but they have YEARS left to go before they even get close to washing out. People treating them like they are ancient. that could be a side effect of starting so early, but they are still in the Prime age for even more greatness! The FGC is eating this decade!

And even though the game is banned in most eastern countries, it is still by far the highest selling fighting game by a huge margin every month.
