i like the vader x range, but with 6+ catches you havent recorded not one drill? i was dissapointed nit to see the rod and reel in action. missed chance IMO.

I'm new to carp fishing and after much research and consternation, I finally decided to purchase two 9ft Sonik VaderX (Ext.) rods w/matching 5000 reels which I like. I watched this video in hopes of helping with my decision to choose a 3rd rod/reel. Unfortunately, many of the comments were correct in that the reviewer doesn't offer a good representation of either the rods or the reels put through their paces in real life scenarios (I.e., catching and/or playing a fish). As a Sonik fan, I came to this video for help (read confirmation) in my decision making, unfortunately, I'm now left with more questions than answers. Do I try another brand? Honestly, I don't know. What I do know is that this review left me very Disappointed!

Could have been a better review if you actually showed the rods and reels properly in your hand and not just on the pod. That way we could of had a closer look. I'm sure they are good bits of kit but the review didn't do them any justice in my opinion.
