Oh my goodness! This demonstration is one of the best I've seen of sophisticated processing that perfectly captures what is going on and how you are addressing it. '[I]t hurst you in the eyes a little...' Yes, that's it exactly! Brilliant! (And I love Alev Lenz, but I actually didn't recognise this at first!) Sorry for the enthusiasm on an old video, but I see so many demonstrations that at five times the running time communicate less than a fifth of the information.

OK lets review. You have a clear video, you have a good understanding of the use of the units, you have fine presentation that shows YOU(pip)along with the plugs you are using. You have NO...NO thumbs down on your ratings in YTube. Your grasp of how to relate to the knowledge hungry is commendable.I subcribed to you just to have it available for my arsenal of reliable info I can FORWARD to show STANDARD PROCEEDURE and how to apply it. Well done, well done.They(apprentices) need more like you, ++

Amazing plugin. Now that the Oxford Limiter have its own revision, this should be the next one. I will add a de-esser section, the possibility to change the order of the processing and frequency selectable warmth.

Thanks for posting, great video, mixing and especially mastering are some of the most misunderstood subjects among new recordists and in general. Golden ears are rare. To many 70s and 80s rock concerts did there toll on mine, fucken Scorpions, you bastards, I remember my left ear over loading that day at US Festival!.....

@benthemiester that's one way to see if you have a "bulk" hearing problem, ie...no highs=no discrimination of sounds as far as consonants and the like. I would add, if I may, newbies should go ahead and get a free hearing test to visually see where their frq loss/losses actually are, then they can adj accordingly if they are serious. I'm sure you know, as I,many old school PRO ENG's have hearing loss in critical FRQ's like 4K 12K,16K (soda/hiss). Knowing those and what they mean is 101, A+ post

Where does one get a pro ear cleansing? By the way, thanks.
@benthemiester14 жыл бұрын
CONT...If any of you young guys want to test your ears, take a can of fresh soda, pour it in a glass, then put it to your ear and compare the sound to the other ear, if one has a slightly less sizzling sound, then that is the ear that has lost the most high frequencies.

@101AOK Yeah I agree, a medical hearing test is best. A professional ear cleansing couldn't hurt either.

A) KZbin quality audio is heavily compressed on upload. B) Proper compression is not supposed to be heard. C) If you don't understand the need for a tool then you shouldn't be using it.
