I swear, CHER SLAYED THIS SONG. The way she sang the loop "I'm talking 'bout you and me, and the games people play.." The band, the backing vocalist, the took it to another level. She took it all the day even when the music stopped, she made you feel it.

I read an article that Cher did in Nov. 2018 promoting her Broadway Show..The Cher Show. I was interested to see if she would say anything about Sonny. The interviewer asked about all the men she's been involved with all these years & she said she loves & misses Sonny the most. She then said "if he would walk through that door right now, we would be Sonny & Cher in about 2 seconds". I thought that was pretty neat that she still thinks fondly of him 21 years after his death. These 2 were great together!

Obviously an early show...don't remember Sonny ever wearing a tux in the opening, nor the lighted globes on the left and right closing in.

He wore a black tux at least twice during the opening monologue (another one was a Dec. 1971 episode) but he also wore other tuxes throughout the Comedy Hour shows. When Billie Jean King was a guest in 1973, he came out in a pink tux & Cher had a blue dress. He also wore a white tux & a silver tux in other episodes.
