In this video I will show you how to instal Sono tubes with Bigfoot or Square foot footers. These elephant foot footers will not settle or be lifted from frost. They are great foundation for a deck or pole barn .I have installed many of these and they will last forever and there is no wood in the ground to rot away in the future.

Watching you, your guys and the truck operator work in a silent ballet is always entertaining and instructional. I'm working on a project that calls for piers and this solution using the plastic footing mold is a much better solution to an initial 3x3x1 footing with the pier as an addition. Excellent demonstration. Thank you.

That’s seriously intelligent. Time saving. You can beat the terrains if there are huge rocks underneath. The only thing I personally would do different because I’m a metal guy is I would use steel capped tubing. Then have the freedom to make my straddles to hold my structure.

OK... Then at the snap of a finger you switch to bisket running that loud ass'd compactor and I about jumped out of my freakin' chair. Needless to say... I ain't sleepy anymore. ...ROFLOL...

What was the purpose of the short lengths of steel which sank promptly to the bottom of the column. Reinforcing steel only achieves a purpose when it is woven into a network or framework so that it’s tensile strength contributes to the structural integrity of the pour. Floating lengths of Rod achieve nought Stevros.

Man if only we had great concrete contractors, labor and excellent carpenters here or near Summit, Ms we would have some great homes. I had to pay extra for everything for workers to travel from La to Ms cause the labor out here is poop. They do not put rebar in cement and cement is all cracked up when they pour/finish so when i built my home i hired crews from Louisiana

Looks like a crap job. Never seen rebar just sunk into the concrete like that. The Rebar should be tied up into a structure and placed in the tube before pouring Also the code in most places calls for a bend in the rebar to run vertically into the footer for several inches. These guys are worried about beer 30 and no inspector in site anyway...😮

@chadford8500
@chadford8500 Жыл бұрын
@@bondobuilt386 I'm pretty sure most contractors, and even a lot of DIY'ers already know how to do it. Why do I need to make a video? It's pretty simple... You get a rebar bender and bend one end of your rebar so it extends several inches horizontally into your footer to start with. Then you make a couple of rings out of rebar and wire tie your rebar to the rings horizontally (with your bend at the bottom to go into the footer)...Set the rebar structure you made on stands at the bottom of your footer. Make sure all the rebar is enclosed in the concrete by at least 3 inches all the way around...Not rocket science at all...
