Hi, can these be used with the ewelink phone app only, without any sort of hub? Thanks.

No. They communicate through Zigbee so they need some hub or bridge or Zigbee coordinator to be able to communicate with the eWelink link app or Home Assistant. If you don't want to get into the whole Home Assistant environment then I'd suggest getting a Sonoff bridge such as the Ultra (itead.cc/product/sonoff-zigbee-bridge-ultra/ref/218/, 15% off with the voucher code SMARTHOMEAUS).

I see the precision of measurement is .1. Can I set it to .01 in specific settings? The previous version by default has precision set to .01. Cheers.

I don't believe so, but then again I don't think it would be sensible to do that as the accuracy of ±0.2°C for temperature and ±2% RH for humidity. so giving it a displayed accuracy of 0.01°C wouldn't make sense.

What zigbee dongle are you using to connect these sensors? I recently purchased an SNZB-02P and SNZB-02D, both of which won't pair via ZHA using a ZBT-1.

My channel environment uses two Sonoff ZBDongle-E (urlday.cc/jjb33, 15% off with SMARTHOMEAUS). But I have tried this with SMLight dongles and they work perfectly also. There are known issues with the ZBT-1 dongle that may affect its performance and reliability. Notably: Hardware Faults: A defective voltage regulator in certain production runs can cause the device to fail when inserted into specific USB-A ports, rendering it completely unresponsive. This issue has been acknowledged by the manufacturer, who has initiated a replacement program for affected units. Firmware Compatibility: Some users have reported that the ZBT-1 dongle may come with firmware intended for multiprotocol use (Zigbee and Thread). This can lead to compatibility issues with the Zigbee Home Automation (ZHA) integration in Home Assistant, resulting in error messages indicating incorrect firmware. Integration Challenges: There have been instances where users experienced difficulties integrating the ZBT-1 with Home Assistant, encountering errors during the setup process. In some cases, this has led to system instability, requiring a restart of the Home Assistant instance. Upgrade time??

I am a Zigbee newbie. I have purchased an Hubitat C-7 hub. My understanding is that this model hub does not natively support Zigbee 3.0. The SONOFF SNZB-02P temp sensor seems to support or connect using the 3.0 protocol. My questions is, can Zigbee 3.0 devices connect to older hubs that do not support the 3.0 protocol. If so, how involved is the pairing process? Enjoyed your video. Thanks.

Zigbee 3.0 is backwardly compatible with Zigbee 2.0. So you will be fine, the SNZB-02P (or any of the Sonoff products) will work just fine with your Zigbee 2.0 based radios. Can I ask why Hubitat? I have no experience of Hubitat so I'd be interested in finding out why you decided on that platform.

What are you listening to on those headphones? Is this part of a live stream?
@smart_home_australia8 ай бұрын
Nope, listening to Music Assistant ;) New microphone in the mail and to be implemented shortly, so the headphones will be gone soon. :)

I want my sensors to blend in with the room. Making the mounting plate orange definitely wasn't the correct design choice for me. And using double-sided tape isn't an option for walls with wallpaper.

LOL... I see your point... I guess it's a design choice and after all you can simply paint them. If not this, that which would be your choice?
