I can trigger chords in keyboard or chord mode on the Maschine, while triggering phrases on the M32. Perfect! Thanks for the great demo. Keep it up, love your videos!

Thanks for the review; you drew my attention to something that I wasn't aware of but is right up my street. As an intermediate piano player, ex DJ, 90's/00's hip hop fanatic, and bedroom producer, this is perfect for me. Watching you showed me how I could add horn licks etc to stuff I've already written, that would sound stronger than the vsti's that I was using (session horns Pro, mojo horns etc) but also how it could provide not only inspiration, but also an educational element that will be invaluable. Where can I find your releases? I feel the need to support you...

Excellent workflow! Although they are completely different, between Noir and Indie, for you, what would be the most versatile and intuitive of the two when it comes to integrating it into an original composition? The lines of the solo instruments in Noir also have their midi equivalent?🤗
@jefgibbons
@jefgibbons 4 жыл бұрын
I just love the sound of Noir, Indie is super cool, and I should try the same type of thing with it, but Noir is like nothing else out there! I did just check and I think you can only get MIDI out of the Sections in Noir, not the solo instruments... I'll post back if that's not correct!

Always enjoy your uploads Jef - and purchased this Noir pac based on this one. I must say though that I'm not convinced that the Maschine mk3 I purchased is particularly 'useful' for my purposes since all the functionality is achieved via keyboard and into a DAW - better really and more intuiative and easier in every way ? . I'd be interested in your response to this workflow issue. I have to say that the Mk3 and Machine interface is no substitute for a DAW and all that comes with that - it seems to be a wanna be something - but not quite anything much except a sketcjpad and then eg plenty of DAW's allow for that funcitonality - Tell me how I'm wrong - please!

Wonderful video. Curious to know your thoughts on using maschine software over cubase pro? Do you not feel you can achieve similar things using Groove agent ? I have both maschine and cubase and am always looking for ways to refine my workflows.
@jefgibbons
@jefgibbons 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Luke, the thing with Maschine is that it is so great to work with the hardware... There's something to be said for getting your hands on the hardware interface. It can definitely all be done with Cubase for sure though. I mostly love the sample manipulation, and the expansions are just fantastic!

I considered this library prior to seeing this video, my biggest gripe is that it takes too large a piece of storage real estate for it's RELATIVELY niche genre application. Price aside, I'd prefer utilizing a combination of different sampled instrument libraries. I really like Orchestral Tool's Big Band for instance, similar size and vibe, but it's a collection of instruments far more versatile than a phrase library.
@_thanksdavid_
@_thanksdavid_ 4 жыл бұрын
I suppose my gripe is less relevant given that this video is promoting the library for it's utilization in a Maschine production workflow where a phrase based library is probably preferable if you're more of a "beat maker" than any kind of composer or piano/keyboardist.

Hi Get that you're demonstrating Maschine but just wondered if you thought it might be easier just to record all the samples as midi files in a DAW, bounce to audio and then import the file in Maschine and chop? Great tutorial as always tho.

Jef Gibbons yes jeff I’m on a mac,Mojave,when I first tried to install it,it said I didn’t have enough space even though I have more than plenty ,then I tried installing them individually but it kept crashing at last minute download,then I reinstalled it after I’ve reformatted my hardrive through native access of course,yes the sounds show up in Kontakt when I launched it on it own,the plugins launched in maschine but without sounds ...ive contacted native they keep telling me to do things I’ve already done...may b there’s a language barrier there...I’ve spent 6 solid days with this Jeff ..
