This is such a great tutorial! Thank you! I’m still having difficulty with recording a vocalist track. And with that I mean the recording process instead of the comping. In a ‘normal’ DAW you can punch in and out and start and stop recording at any moment in the timeline. But when I got a song length clip for the vocal track I can’t let the singer quickly re-sing (is that english?) parts like overdubbing a bridge or repairing a high note and start just a measure before that. Are there ways in Maschine to record like that? Now I just let the vocalist sing the whole song a few times as a workaround and comp the good bits out. It would be awesome if you could invite a vocalist or gitarist in your studio and record a whole track with hem/her to see the process. And thanks again, you have a talent for explaining!
@jefgibbons Жыл бұрын
You should be able to start anywhere and punch in… I’ll have to take a look!

@@jefgibbons Thanks! I did look into it today but can't get it to work. Starting halfway a pattern and record new audio always replaces the sounds current audio and puts it at the beginning of the pattern.

How did you get all of your takes? Did you have to record the first, stop, hit start on sample and start again over and over? I can’t tell, but it would be amazing if there was a mode where you could play take after take (until you hit stop) and have each take automatically be assigned to the next sound slot.
@MRThomaster0074 жыл бұрын
Hey Jef, awesome video! I do have one small point though: Instead of using the internal sampler to record your comped take, you can use the pattern audio export button all the way to the right of the software (the squiggly wave next to the pattern length) to export the audio of your pattern/clip. This could save you some time :)
@jefgibbons4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I did look for that icon as I use it in the ideas mode all the time, but I couldn't see it in the clips arranger window. Am I missing something?
@MRThomaster0074 жыл бұрын
@@jefgibbons My bad, I use it all the time as well, but that's with patterns. I'm also missing the export button in the arranger view when working with clips...
