Can you do Hastings Nebraska, I think it should be a basic beef, onion, and cabbage (not sourkraut) runzas/bierrocks with a glass of kool-aid as it was invented in Hastings. The recipe my friends and family build off of is A mix of about 2 parts beef (leaner) and 1 part unseasoned ground pork (using just beef is fine) Onion Garlic 2-4 cloves per onion or just powder Cabbage 1 head per 1 large onion per 3 lbs of meat Vinegar or sauerkraut juice from jar, Salt Pepper Worcestershire (woo-ster-sher)sauce Any basic yeasty bread dough Chop up or food process the veg, Brown the meat 60-80% of the way, Mix in everything, cover and cook down longer than you might expect. Drain, wrap your stuffing in bread dough, Start preheating now so the dough has some time to rise a little. Bake @ 300-350 F for about minutes or until golden. Also Jonestown used a British knock off named flavor aid not kool aid. Hastings also had the largest us naval ammunition depot of wwII… in the dead center of the country.

Sadly this is fading fast. Restaurants in Tucson have shot up in price and down in quality BADLY in the past 5-10 years. In particular good street tacos are almost nowhere to be found anymore in Tucson. Places are charging $4.50 a taco and they're nowhere near as good as I remember at any of my spots Tucson remains the king for Sonoran dogs (even though they're 5 bucks a pop now, they used to be 2 dollars). But honestly Phoenix is beating Tucson pretty bad for any other Mexican food. I've had fucking MIND blowing tacos, tamales, menudo and sopas in Phoenix for better prices than Tucson. Idk. Tucson seems like it's just given up in general recently... everything closes early, nobody seems to care much about their job, people are always unfriendly and unprofessional, the bars and social spaces are all absolutely dead if it's not Friday night.
