I watched the Battle Of The Five Armies EE last weekend and it killed my feels and brought me to tears much like when I first watched the movie back in December 2014. It was amazing. I wish this was released in cinemas to the world rather than the theatrical release. The few character moments, the entire flow of the battle, and the funeral were beyond great. Having said that, there are still a few cringeworthy sequences but over all it delivered the missing pieces of the puzzle, especially Alfrid's death.
Although I'm happy that I finally watched the extended, I feel so sad that this is the last of the Hobbit movies we're ever going to get. I've grown very fond of these movies, the story, and the character and I found myself inspired to make a tribute to the sons of Durin.

Quote from the book: "Fili and Kili had fallen defending him with shield and body, for he was their mother's elder brother". Thorin fought alongside them both and perished. However, Thorin's deaths in the movie and book are similar in that he survived long enough to speak with Bilbo before dying of his injuries. The main difference is that in the film he dies upon Ravenhill whereas in the books he dies in a tent in Dale.

I no probably no one will see this but I will tell this little story to get it off my chest When I was younger I had this tree I always went to for years, I went there especially when my parents argued, I would bring a book and read in its shade, but when I saw the hobbit, my perspective on the tree changed, I then imagined it was the tree that came from the acorn Bilbo had. I then started to call the tree Erebor in memory of them, soon I carved RIP Thorin, Kili and Fili My your spirits rest and your legacy of Durin live on I had always thought them as my family and started to talk to the tree like the Durins were there and it comforted me immensely, I then moved and it hurt because that tree had always been the king to my mountain type of thing, it was a best friend in a way. But when I came back, my whole world changed... There was that yellow tape surrounding it and chainsaws on the ground near it, and in the middle of the tape was a stump, THEY CUT DOWN MY TREE! I was heart wrenched and started sobbing on the spot, I went and sat on the stump and cried, people yelled at me but I didn’t care, I then when and grabbed a few acorns off the ground that came from that tree and held them to my chest and screamed, it hurt so bad, it was almost like losing a loved one, I want to tell anyone who reads this, love and Cherish all you got Bcus it doesn’t matter if it’s a tree or a family member, tell them you love them. This video made me think of this day and I will never forget Erebor, I planted those acorns and now there growing, I can’t wait to see Mirkwood and Shire grow into huge magical trees that I will show my kids because I will protect those trees Rip Thorin Oakenshield, Fili and Kili Durin, you were loved and cherished my millions, may your legacy live on...

Couldn't sleep. So I decided to watch some tributes. First I found Gandalfs eulogy and now this. I love this song anyway, but with all those memories it just makes me weep like a little baby. Middle-earth is my world & Durin's Sons were always my favourite characters. Thank you so much for this wonderful piece of art. The king has come into his own. Under mountain, under stone. Send him now unto the deep. Unto earth, eternal sleep. Under mountain, under stone. Through all the lands, let it be known: the king is dead! Long live the king!

Its really sad seeing your favorite characters die and then a few days later find the most sadest song to remember what they've done in the past.
