Sons of the Forest: Update 03 Changes to building! FINALLY they made stairs next to walls intuitive!

You can place spikes on the solar panels. So if you don't want a fence or want a last defence inside your fence , you can lean ramps off your outer walls, place solar panels, then spike them

Oh just a heads up, lots of low end rumbling from the key pressing. Might wanna try a high pass filter at 75 - 100hz to cut all that out without affecting the overall sound. 😊

John2 won't set off the spring trap, I put 30 down and spawned him in. haven't tested other mutants, fun for cannibals though.

I haven't played much with the new update feaures yet. I do know that you can build spike walls on the solar panels.

Oh, so you need to build the upper landing before it'll let you place in the stairs. I was trying a bit ago and all I had was a wall, and the diagonal across from it.

So I decided to see how many lights could run off ONE solar panel, so far I'm at 52! I ran out of testing room but there doesn't seem to be a limit so long as you have enough wire.

That's a great test! I hope they end up balancing that to closer to 20 each. And having them only work in daylight unless you have a battery. 1 battery + 1 solar pannel can power 15 lights continuously.

U can have the glider and knight v equipped at the same time ride onto the trap to lounch super high then Dubble tap jump to drop off the knight v and start flying ez glider depo

I only use a few console commands that basically enable creative mode. I have done one about those few. I don't even pay attention to what the most of the rest do or the appropriate syntax.

Hey i know this is from an older video but the corner ramps or glitched ramps that uses two ramps to make a corner cover does not work in the most recent update and during my base build it leaves a gap and doesn't look the best so i was wondering if you know any way to do it in the newest update

@@knightbeforedawn Thankyou! So the issue I was having when trying to do this was the stairs were only working with the wall at full log height, tried using 1/4, half and 3/4 heights and it wasn't letting me add stairs. Is there already a work around for that? or did I just somehow skip a step?

It's a good start to solar, but you need a battery bank to have power when there is no sun.

Inverters, charge controllers and batteries would over complicate it i think. Best to have it as is and just imagine that these things are automatically added.

I would like to see large batteries, loot able from the many golf carts on the island for battery banks, and small battery chargers to reduce the need for the respawning loot crates allover the place.

I kinda feel like the solar panels are dumb. 1. It doesn’t look good being so called eco friendly. 2. It’s cheaper to use torches. 3. They left cheatstick in the game.

Some people may like the looks. Plus it's a start to an entire power system that could have a lot of potential! Torches should be cheaper short term, but they should burn out after a while and require cloth to relight which would make the electrical lights less expensive long term. Though as it stands they are much cheaper. Cheatstick should absolutely be removed from multiplayer settings for all clients. Only admins should have access to it. But that has nothing to do with the solar panels.
