Meh. Overpriced. I owned one for a year. Loved it. But was too expensive for what it was. The Tamron 150-500 is better to me. Value wise. I guess if money doesn’t matter to you, yes get the Sony 100-400. But anyone who cares even a little bit, get the Tamron. It’s half the price and just as good.

As a professional photographer, I’m saying this as advice for the future. Please please PLEASE, never ever clean your sensor like that, the sensor is EXTREMEMLY delicate and cleaning like that won’t blow any dust out but rather blow any dust outside inwards. To clean it properly, hold the sensor upside down (if you have a DSLR, make sure to lock the mirror up so it’s not in the way and the sensor is exposed) and use a droplet air blower to get the dust out of there.
