I have a Sony a6100 which was first released in August 2019, the Sony a6300 was released in March 2016 which is quite a difference in the model generation scale. The Sony APS-C (cropped sensor) series cameras are relatively have a small form factor. which I find difficult to hold while taking pictures or recording video therefore I've been shopping online for the bottom grip for my camera. I've found several, they're made of wood which brings out the aesthetics of the camera on the other hand I found several battery grips made by different manufacturers. Meike MK-6300 was at the top of the list. My first concern although advertised was the compatibility to the a6100 because of the 3-year gap between models. but now I have more concerns thanks to your video. I don't want to waste money on a product that just doesn't work the way it should. I will check out other videos on KZbin and see what other solutions are recommended. Thank you for your video which will allow others to make a good conscience decision before purchasing this product.

Thx for your video - inspired me to talk...I have the same grip and it works ok but for the battery drain when Im not using it. Within about 24hrs the two batteries are dead and I have to reset the basic info again, like the lanuage, time zome etc. Anyone know a fix for this. Thx

Sony cameras draw energy as long as there is a power source. As far as I know, there is no way around this. It's just how the camera works.

PLEASE SOMEONE HELP! Where can i buy a new fake dummy battery for the mka6300 as i lost mine. (The very light plastic battery that goes in the actual sony camera)

That's something that you may want to contact the manufacturer about. I've never actually seen the dummy battery being sold separately. They may just tell you to buy a new grip. Good luck though 👍

This grip kills batteries.

It seems like they vary quite a bit and people have a lot of different problems.
