Sony a6400 SmallRig Accessories

Sony's a6400 is a great vlogging camera but with one major design flaw. The flip up screen is blocked when using an external mic! In this video I'm sharing some accessories from SmallRig that will fix that issue!

The nato tophandles i have 2 of them and i use them on the top an the side they are great also i use the a6400 cage. Grüße* from Gemany (*its a german word and means greetings)

Good video and appreciate the information. Would be nice if the camera could focus on the products in your hands and also provide close ups of the mounts sitting on the camera body. Half the time its hard to see how these mounts sit because of the blur (out of focus) or you very briefly show it and then lower the camera out of sight.

Exactly what i was looking for. Was trying to better understand how the rig / cold shoe situation worked in general. Thanks. Also, I am going with the cage made for the 6400, and buying two separate cold shoes (mic + light). will also be putting mic to the right (closer to the 3.5mm input).

Awesome video! I used to have the cage for the a6300, but returned it when I learned about the cage specific for the a6400. I definitely agree they should of added a built in cold shoe mount, but other then that, I really enjoy the a6400 cage. I actually prefer the wood grip for it. Anywho, great video buddy! Keep them coming!!

I would personally go for the A6400 mount. I want these to sit as snug as possible on the camera body. I hate rattling or lose products. Makes them feel and sound cheap.
