I have the A7R and I got the app to work in wi-fi mode. I tried the NFC, but I don't know if it worked. Would I have to test in a non wi-fi area?

Hi. I like your demos I think you are one of those that I always like to watch because of the way I find you easy to understand. In this Sony WiFi you talk of entering the password but you don't mention where that password is from. I'm having problems setting my A7R up. Please help.

Hi, thank`s for video. I`m looking for one interesting functionality, I hope you will be able help me out as mother Google did not give answer on my questions. I want to install camera under the helicopter to make time lapse images with some, 1-2 fps for 20 minutes in row. I would like to start and stop this function with wi-fi remote control (smartphone), perhaps using this sony remote control app. Also I would like to add GPS position to images created, if possible already during shooting without any additional operation. I`m planning to use Sony A6000 camera or yours, A7 or Nex7. So my questions for you are: 1. Is there such functionality in this smart remote control app using smartphone and any suitable Sony camera (preferably A7 or A6000) to use remote control time lapse to shoot continuously for 20 minutes with 1-2 fps? 2. Is it possible to integrate GPS location from smartphone into image taken by Sony? Thank`s a lot in advance, buddy!

I`m looking at the Sony A7S with great interest. It presumably has the same apps for wifi. Have you tested the maximum distance possible between phone and camera? My intention is to shoot marmots in video mode while hid far enough away so as not to disturb them. Thanks

I would say that the only real advantage that the A7S has over the A7 is the ability to shoot in the dark with less noise. The video on the A7S ONLY outputs 4k if you have an HDMI input device (over $1000) and the dynamic range doesn't have a noticeable difference over the A7 in video mode, unless you really pixel peep. I would say for the price, the A7 is a better choice if you only plan to shoot during the day.

Ian Swarbrick if you have the budget for the body and the lenses. A7s would be a better option than a7 or a7ii for film making. I said so, because in A7s moire wouldn't be a problem, can shoot in the dark, have an Slog 2(though minimal ISO is 3200 in Slog), and its a great investment for a better quality output if you ever bought the ATOMOS(or similar device).
