Sony A7C II | My First Camera - Review (Things you should know as a first timer) 🎥📷

In this video I will be reviewing / giving you my first impressions of Sony a7c ii in 2 forms, as my first camera and the experience behind it. Some things were unexpected and took some time to get used to, which I think should be made known before buying a camera, especially your first one. I will compare the sony a7c ii to using an iphone 14 pro max as well as sony a7 iv.

Relatable 💯 I think you captured the first camera situation perfectly and I don’t think any of the big KZbin reviewers can relate like you because they are seasoned so the things you think about and talk about are normal people shit which is perfect 👌🏼 Question if your doing a reel slow motion movement you at 24/30 moving slow or are you shooting with the crop mode 4k/60p and slowing to 40% on a 24p timeline?

Really appreciate the comment 💪 glad it was helpful! I record reels in 4k 50 or 60 fps depending on the situation. I almost always mess round with speed. More fps means you can reduce the speed more without noticing the weird frame drops. In cropped you might have to take few steps back to capture the entire subject or scenery so it just depends on the situation. I’d say that 24fps would be exclusively for cinematic or moving subjects to give a more realistic motion blur. But if you’re planning to slow down your footage I’d go with 50 or 60fps. If you got a camera or a phone then I’d recommend doing some quick tests and modify the footage in your software/app of choice to get a feel for it, which is the best way to learn. In terms of movement, it also depends on the situation, if it’s details I’m shooting I would try to go slow with 50 or 60 fps to either speed or or slow down the footage further in certain spots. I use faster movements if I’m going for drone like shots. So if detail doesn’t matter that much you can go slightly quicker which will allow you to keep the movement trajectory more in line. But you can always stabilise your footage during editing I’ll definitely do behind the scenes filming and editing once my car will be back on the road. Hopefully that helps!

On colors, agree. I usually shoot in pp2 or Cinetone and it rarely requires any real grading.

Recently I’ve started playing around with slog and there is a bit of a learning curve. Also if the monitor you are color grading on is crap then the outcome will also be crap

Thank you! Those are all Lego technic cars. Some of them are out of production. There are also smaller Lego cars from speedchampions series. Fun to put together and look great on a shelf!
