excellent video ! Do you setup your ISO manually on every shot or it has an automatic iso feature ?
@GabrielAndre2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching 🙏 To be honest I don't remember how I set the iso in this particular video, it was almost a year ago now 😅 but at night it's possible that I shot aperture priority and controlled the shutter speed with the iso (increasing my shutter speed by increasing the iso accordingly).

Cinetone looks amazing. Have you noticed much image quality difference between 7iii to 7iv? Images looks crispy tho! Great video once again 👊
@GabrielAndre2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching man 🙏 Cinetone is really good isn't it. I literally just pressed record that's it. Slog3 is great too but I'll have to spend some time to make some luts for it. Like you said it's crisper thanks to the extra megapixels. I find the colors out of camera nicer too. It seems a bit more noisy but I'm wondering if it's not partly because there's more sharpening in camera. Dialing down sharpness a bit seems to fix it nicely. Autofocus is quite improved and the buttons/menu are far better. The overall experience using it is a good upgrade in my opinion.

Is your settings on auto? Sorry I’m really new to photography and I just got this camera
@GabrielAndre Жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! I believe I was mostly A mode (aperture priority). So the aperture doesn't move unless you manually change it. Then I use the back dial wheel to control the ISO (the higher the iso the faster the shutter speed will automatically get, and vice versa). So essentially if my shutter speed is getting too slow because it's too dark, I'll increase the ISO. It's a semi-auto shooting method I like to use for street photography. Auto can be ok sometimes but it can also make ??? choices a lot so I never use it. Full manual doesn't bring anything to the table in my opinion in such circumstances and increases the physical steps before taking a shot. Hope that helps!

Hi ! Where i can buy that grip from left side. Whats the name of this item?
@GabrielAndre2 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching! Here's a link to the closet model I could find amzn.to/3FRNoTI I would advise getting one like this one, with the magnetic bit to screw it on attached at the bottom. Much more convenient than having to go find a coin every time you want to adjust it. (also available in the ''My gear'' link in the video description, just in case.

@GabrielAndre2 жыл бұрын
A7iV on the way, love the sound of that sentence 🙂👍 you can find the L-bracket i use in the video description "my gear" link. I think they no longer make the exact same one, so i listed one that is identical by another maker (mine is smallrig).

I think a real low light test would be in ugly, interior, dim hotel lighting or something like that. Everyone does a low light test and they go into a city with the most powerful commercial lighting in the world. These conditions are perfect for photography. Look at all that neon lol...this is a "night test", not low light.
@GabrielAndre Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and sorry you felt misled by the title! Totally agree on your argument from a technical low light point of view. I reckon more people are thinking of shooting streets at night than ugly dim lighting rooms though lol
@r-btoofficial7865 Жыл бұрын
@@GabrielAndre yeah for sure. No , I don't think the title is misleading to your point. I just got done editing some terrible photos from a client event where the lighting was so dim and yellow so it's fresh in my mind.

Did you tried to take photography whit maximum Iso 50 F11 and shutter speed 30 ' or Bulb? In my case I get very bad colour banding and posterization image ( I used tripod and remote control) Can I see some test in very low light?
@GabrielAndre2 жыл бұрын
Hey there, I don't think I've done such long exposures with the a7iv so far. I never had such issues with the A7iv but next time I do a night photo video I'll include a long exposure to give it a try 👍by the way i believe iso 50 is extended iso and is bound to yield less dynamic range than the base iso 100. Maybe give it a go with iso 100 instead and see if there is an improvement ? 🤔
@MarianMoisii2 жыл бұрын
@@GabrielAndre I tried even whit iso 125 I forgot to tell I use lense Sony GM35 mm 1.4 ;About exposure I tried Whit 10 sec or less but always same result.. I did same test whit Panasonic S 5 and I had great results,even Sony A6400 did great job,but Sony a7IV doesn't work well,maybe it's hardware or software problem

@@GabrielAndre If you want dark sky that's the way .I wish to see reviews in this conditions,I would like to see some test. I used same test whit sony a6400. but there is no issues , unfortunately I have colours banding and aufocus issues which is unacceptable in 2022

Its kinda weird to me that people take pictures of other people they don’t know as if it was normal. Id be a little pissed off if somebody takes pictures of me without asking me to be honest. 😆

@GabrielAndre Жыл бұрын
@@lumpigolum no worries at all! I think the comment you made is valid and understandable. I don't really remember but I'm pretty sure it felt weird at the beginning for me as well. As for getting into the hobby and the price of it, I would say there's no need to buy anything crazy expensive at first. My first 5 years or so, I was using kits (camera & lens) that cost around 500$, sometimes less on the used market. I still use some of the images created with the cheap kits to this day and I don't think anyone notices. Plus nowadays everyone is trying to make their images look like they were shot on 50years old cameras anyway haha.
