I’m curious why you didn’t just program APSC/Crop mode to a button and use it on the fly? I set the record button to APSC mode.

Amazing! I love seeing how other wedding photogs set up their machines to see how much further I can fine tune mine to work more efficiently! Not sure if you are familar with using the "M1" "M2" function as well in each of the "1", "2", "3" buttons. Unfortunately those are only stored to the cards for even more custom quick memory buttons

Thanks for the setup video. I messaged you privately but thought others may be interested... I find it mad that EYE AF is now gone... to get round this I assigned a custom hold to the af-on button and use wide focus with face recognition it works similar to the old eye af in practice I think.

Shooting in apsc is the same as cropping though.

Hello, I see that you are using apsc crop mode. My question is about lens profile correction - will software ( lightroom, camera raw ...) recognize that you shot this particular image in crop mode and make corrections accordingly ( since camera and lens are full frame) or will it correct as if it all was in full frame ( vignetting, distortion).

Hmm the mode 2 crop mode there’s no need to do this just set a custom button for apsc mode. Then you’ll get 26mp whether raw or apsc cropped raw

I'm lazy (I take note and will research) and "share" here : - The high iso noise reduction influences raw-files ? - if enabled on raws, then I presume it is the base upon witch adobe's AI-Accentuate will add itself. - although I also worked on A7R3, I remained stuck on an understanding that the in camera noise reduction was to be avoided. Can't remember why..!

Hello, Thanks for the content you generate, I learn a lot with you. I have two questions: Why don't you use the Eye-AF in your weddings? How do you get people moving towards or away from you to always appear in focus without it? Moving the focus point with the joystick is not the fastest and I find it difficult. to my knowledge, there is no longer face/eye-af as an option on the a7rV. This is especially odd since you can choose between left and right eye. Maybe the tracking has improved so much that it's just default to the face eye. I'm wondering if sony will put it back in one of the firmware updates. Most sony shooters are used to this feature and want it out of basic familiarity and cohesiveness from camera to camera.

Question, you mention in your video using medium lossless for your wedding photography, and I’ve noticed that when using medium-loss the new denoise feature does not work in Lightroom; do you see that as well? Wondering if this is a Lightroom limitation? Cheers.

I have two suggestions if it matters to save battery. Pre-AF, off and Airplane mode on

it's because he wanted the File sizes to be equal. when you turn on APS-c it crops in and this lowers the file size. but when you change the compression to high and crop it returns to the 26mp files.

nice tuto. I would be interested to have more videos on how you shoot (with ninja 5 screen dsplay...) on field, how you recompose without backbutton focus, when you use focus area tracking or spot,... Personnally, on "1", i set center wheel to focus area, movie to min SS, C2 to APSCS35 i use all the time, AFON to af/MF toggle, lens to focus hold to recompose, spot small, C3 focus mode, C4 lcd on/off. i keep drive and iso, OK button for focus magnifier, center bottom button for monitor brightness sunny mode, big right wheel for exposure comp, AEL not specified yet, today for stopping face detect but making any focus area tracking is interesting for bird photography,... "2" is for sport Hi, min 1/1000sec, zone tracking. "3" for manual exposure for night street photo, artistic blur pictures, landscapes,... For video, "1" for 25fps cinetone, "2" for 50fps cinetone, "3" for slog-3 25fps

Why sRGB and not Adobe RGB?

Because shooting in RAW it doesn't matter. this is only for the preview file for the camera or if you are shooting in JPG. Take two photos in RAW, one in sRGB and another in Adobe RGB and you will see the file quality and colors are the same.

Just curious, I see that you having a 60meg camera your using 26 megapixels vs 33 megapixels on the a7 iv which begs the question why did you buy the a7 V with slower frame rates? Thanks

for me I got it for the Ai autofocus upgrades, and the occasional need for a high res photo. Dealing with 3000 61 MP photos is just to much lag. The camera also has an upgrade screen and viewfinder which makes it much more enjoyable to use and view photos on.
