I had this and returned it for the lg g3 and I’m in love with the lg g3. They both great tv’s just when I see the g3 a week after buying my Sony I was amazed how beautiful the tv felt more premium. Picture quality was on par with each other at times one looked better then the other and vice versa depending on content watched. They both great just down to what personal preference I guess

I would love this TV as I'm a mega Sony fan and they really do have the best processors around. I know you pay the Sony tax but they really are having a comeback as I remember years ago they flopped and the likes of Samsung came out of nowhere and took over the market. I am interested in seeing the new 'Philips 959+ oled' at the end of this year as this is going to have an epic speaker setup and would love it if you could review this which will be close to the Christmas period. Love the channel, bit jealous as I'm a TV freak and would love to do what you do, keep up the good work. Dan the man ✌️

In the video you mentioned that if 2 screws were loosened on the back panel then this might allow the power cable to be removed so a longer one could be used instead. Have you been able to determine whether this is possible?

I think you're gonna prefer your G3 with you being a gamer and the Sony only having the two 4k 2.1ports. The price- point also a big thing! Don't think there's much doubt that picture/motion/processing is better on the Sony tho!? I have the A80L as I'm more of a TV/Movie watcher and barely game at all. Look forward to seeing the review of the A95L👍

Nice video Paul. You mentioned some things other Tubers skip over. I will mention in comments about the power lead on Brian's Tech Therapy when he has Rob Brennan from Sony in a Q and A again. I think it should be a kettle plug type connector and a 2 mtr lead. Also that webcam I think is a problem. If you wall mount the tv then how are you supposed to turn off the webcam. Might be ok if you are 6.5 and over!

I would have to say that comparing the 65 inch Sony A95L at $3,495 to the LG 65 inch G3 at $2,295 that I would easily choose the LG and save myself some serious money for a picture that would look very similar. The Samsung s95c in the 65 inch model is also only $2,295 and it has fantastic picture quality and again saving a great deal of money that could be better spent on a very nice sound bar.

Mate could you please do me a favour, I have just brought mine two weeks ago and have just noticed while cleaning it with my microfibre, that a few inches to the right of the camera from the top down to the middle of the tv screen I have a very faint black line that you can see when it’s off, you can only see when right next to it looking left to right on the angle, I’ve rang Sony and also doing some googling and think it might be banding? Not sure though if you can/should see banding when off? Could you please let me know if your screen has this thanks.

@@TheTechGiantKZbin thanks mate, I’m from London but live in Australia, I had a Samsung S95B for 7 months and the tv one day decided to not turn back on, power supply shit itself, went to battle with the retailer and finally got my money back, I thought this time I would go Sony as the premium build quality and superior processing to Samsung, got an amazing deal on Black Friday and paid $4600 for 65 A95L $1600 more then S95B, waited 3 bloody months as no one has them in stock here, got to say I’m mighty impressed and blown away with this tv until I notice this weird black mark. 😞 can’t see it when on unless I do a greyscale KZbin test and at 70 percent grey I can clearly see it, don’t want to play the panel lottery sending it back as the next one could be worse, hoping you tell me yours has it, might be oled join in the screen or even the speaker actuators behind? Some forums have suggested it’s banding and it will go after 100 hours use but I’m not sure it will, someone also suggested a panel refresh but on a brand new tv I’m very cautious of that as tv tells you once a year or less to run one.

The one thing that irritates me is when sony or other tv manufacturers use eARC on the same hdmi as the 4k 120hrtz, this shouldn't be even happening on a tv that expensive, this model also has the same tv stand as my sony oled it seems, pretty slick Wait what? 😱😱 What kind of remote is that? Whilst you can buy a switcher, at this price point you shouldn’t have to buy extras. Other manufacturers manage to make all of their HDMIs 2.1, so Sony don’t really have much excuse not to do the same.
