Picked up a bravia 8 on black friday. So far love it

Does anyone else the stuttering on the internal KZbin app in this model? Watching walking videos is not great at all. It’s more a problem with the app I think or maybe due to some pulldown/ cadence processing that is off. Also there is audio/video drift when watching over the air channels at times.

What sucks is you can't really show what a TV looks like in a video due to peoples TVs, screens and how they are calibrated but great video.

Sony’s top oled for this year is still A95L. It is their Master Series TV. Sure it came out in October I believe of 2023, but it is still consider best TV out there even in 2024. I had both, the 8 and a95l, kept the a95l. Bravia 8 is mid-tier OLED in direct competition with Samsung S90D and LG C4, both are better than Bravia 8. This TV is too dim for my liking. I really wanted to like it but imo, wasn’t worth it.

Bravia 8 has better picture quality/processing than both TV's mentioned. You omit this.

@ I didn’t omit anything since I owned the tv. It’s unfortunate because I wanted to love that tv and save some money, but it comes up short. If you don’t believe me, check out Rtings or any other comparison you can find. Just because it has a Sony label doesn’t mean it has a better picture and processing. I will say their products could end up lasting longer, but nowadays, nothing is built to last.

Color/tonal banding on gradinets is terrible. Visible in games and movies, this disqualifies this TV.
