This is a shady sponsorship my friend: With the exception of Product Key Cards (PKC’s) distributed with COA’s, Microsoft does not distribute products keys as standalone products. - If you see a listing on an auction site, online classified ad, or other online page advertising product keys for sale, it’s a good indication that the keys are likely stolen or counterfeit. - If you were to purchase and use a stolen or counterfeit product key to activate Windows installed on your PC, the key may not work for activation, may already be in use on another PC, or it might be blocked from use later by Microsoft when the key is reported stolen.

There's no perfect TV but I think it's fair to say Bravia 9 is truly remarkable progress for MiniLED. Sony sprinkled magic dust on the backlight masterdrive (increase in zones and 22 bit precision) and it is just wonderful!

All this to do a 50% brighter picture over OLED. And still small highlights unfortunately dimmer. 🤷‍♂️ much easier with self emissive pixels. Can’t believe they don’t offer 97”. They offer poor x90L but not their flagship.

Sony rests on their laurels as a company but when they decide to innovate they definitely come out swinging, I don't think anyone expected a TV that looks almost as good as a $30k mastering monitor and trades blows with OLED in dark room performance.
@whitecrowuk575
@whitecrowuk575 6 ай бұрын
@@Mike-jm5wt they can do indeed but I’m afraid they will lose the game. TCL is smashing in mini led space and with bigger better models available will definitely overtake that space. Whereas Samsung and LG already get close in processing to Sony, close enough that usually big price disparity doesn’t justify the difference. There will be only die hard Sony fans. I can see Sony selling its business down the line.

The Bravia 9 is literally going to shock the world. It's going to win the King of TV's shootout this year (beating out both OLED and QD-OLED TVs) and that's going to make people heads explode all over the world! Yeah, I just saw it for the first time today and it's THAT good. You won't even believe it when you see it.

Hi Robert!, I’m coming from a 75” Sony Z9D that I couldn’t bring with me when I moved to another State (I left it in my parent’s house). Do you think the 85” Hisense U8N or the 85” TCL 2024 QM8 will be somehow in the same level as the Sony Z9D or should I just save up and wait to get the 85” Bravia 9 or the 85” LG G4 on Black Friday? I mainly stream movies and some shows, watch a few soccer games here and there and play 4k blu-ray movies 2 or 3 times a month in my living room. 90% of the time I watch TV is at night. Mainly use tv for football and movies, had to return tv ( dse & vignette) got 77inch lg c1 and never looked back. Even on this video you can see grey area on pan video ( Lucy army of d) the panel lottery is so much harder with large led tvs , and that's exactly what fomo originally told me.

I’m a LG CX owner and have been looking at the S90D as a replacement, I went to Best Buy to look at OLEDs, walked over to Sony to check out the A80L & A95L, and was blown away by the Bravia 9 that was next to the Sony OLEDs. I never thought I’d leave OLED. If you haven’t seen it in person, please do. It’s REALLY good. Now I’m researching Bravia 9.

I have it already, it's great except be prepared for blooming. There absolutely is blooming and it's worse than the TV I just replaced, my 2018 Samsung Q8FN with only 40 dimming zones. Samsung at the time was prioritizing blooming control over everything so highlights were not spectacular however there was absolutely no blooming on this q8fn. Black level is insanely good and I prefer this kind of an algorithm. The Bravia 9 prioritizes blindingly bright highlights over blooming control and it really shows, I see quite a bit of blooming which is disappointing. That said it's not terrible.

@@TonyDAngelo-ot7ny I've owned WOLED - an A80K and C3 and I did not like either of them. I do not like how WOLED uses a white subpixel. I find it gives the image an inescapable blue push along with diluted looking color production. They also have terrible brightness stability. I like HDR and QLED provides a much more impressive HDR experience. I considered buying a Samsung QD-OLED, but they also have bad brightness stability and no OLED has impressive peak brightness despite the deceptive marketing in that regard.

Gotta say the old standby continues to hold true and that is what is the light environment where the TV is depends on what TV tech to go with. Both techs improve year by year that in real life viewing it comes down to one's personal preference. Those torture test comparisons are coming to the point of splitting hairs. Great Review. T.Y. 👍😊

In terms of colours, Sony's TV's usually knocks it out of the park. I bought a ZF9 master series TV back in 2019 and now I can only buy Sony TV's because no other TV is capable of matching the colours of a Sony TV (and they look the most true to life to me). I'm not a Sony fanboy, I don't even have a PS5. I had their first wireless earbuds with noise cancelling, but did not opt to get a new Sony one because they tend to have battery issues (I don't know what it is with Sony and trash batteries. All of their earbuds have battery durability issues and their wireless controllers also all have battery durability issues).

Read up on quantum dots but the short version is they convert led light into pure white which then gets filtered by the lcd layer to create all the colors, but because the white is so pure the resulting colors are far more vibrant compared to non QD light sources.

We don't want clickbait - give us accurate reviews sir, you can't claim anything is better whilst completely pimping out both the product and your camera settings. Static meta data mostly tells the screen the minimal and maximal peak brightness of the whole movie / TV show episode. While I am quite happy to see manufacturers improving their LCD and OLED TVs year over year, I think we have long arrived at the point, where the quality of the content is holding things back for more than the quality of the Display. Pretty much the same thing as what we can see in terms of Audio. We have all these nice standards and formats, HDR, 4K60 or 4K120 with high clarity, brightness, contrast and everything, but frequently get HDR capped at less than 500nits or even SDR in an HDR container. Hollywood clings to 24p, thus destroying most of the advantages of 4K or even 1080p as soon as movement is involved or adds artificial "digital grain" etc. On the audio side, we are seeing Atmos mixes without actual object based audio, just static 7.1.2 or at most 7.1.4 and very little Surround Sound, let alone Heigt effects. In terms of Music, we get all kinds of high-resolution containers with the audio often having the potential of exceeding what humans can hear by several orders of magnitude but the actual recording being dynamically compressed, badly recorded, mushy and not even using the available bandwidth of something like a good old Audio CD. So yes, modern TVs, AVRs and Speakers are great, but the Content industry is way behind most of the time. Sorry for ranting...🧘‍♀️
@MichelleAlexandria-EM
@MichelleAlexandria-EM 6 ай бұрын
I’ve been saying this for years. Buying $5,000 tvs is stupid when the content itself will almost never justify that. There’s a reason almost all modern tvs look great when you watch Demo footage and footage from HDR Demo channels on KZbin. Then you watch Netflix and other content a d it never matches that. Then you have a lot of directors you think the world looks dark and drab and no tv is going to make that content look better. Look at how Some scenes in Game of Thrones are shot, where it’s so dark you can’t see anything. A $5,000 fake “4,000 Nit” tv isn’t going to do much better than a $800 1,000 Nit TV.

Well, the Bravia 9 to me looks like the best TV on the market for video viewing.... mainly because the colours just seem to be the most accurate for most part. It's basically closest to the reference monitor in like 95% of the cases. I did read about some 'bad' things related to gaming. But that was mainly from 1 source and just a few guys. Supposedly the response time is like 17-18 ms even in gaming mode when playing at 60 fps... which is only slightly better than my 2018 Z9F and far worse than some of Sony's own TV's from recent years. Well, it isn't a dealbreaker since I don't play competitively anyhow, but it is something to keep in mind at least (ideally it's something they can improve with a software update perhaps if the issue is caused by lack of software optimisation for gaming).

Power usage is FAR lower on LCD TVs with Mini-LED back-lights than with similar size OLEDs! For example, about any model 65" LCD TV with Mini-LED back-lighting sold today, uses UNDER half the power at the same brightness level that any 65" OLED uses. OLEDs have NEVER been efficient in utilizing electrical power to produce a given level of brightness. A 2019 model Sony 77" A9G OLED we use in our basement theater room, has a maximum power use rating that's OVER 2 TIMES the maximum rated power usage of the 2014 Sharp 80" LCD TV (without Mini-LEDs) that I gave to a friend in Sept 2022, as we replaced the Sharp with Samsung's 85" QN90B LCD with Mini-LED back-lights.

I have a dark theatre room. Is it better to go with the LG G4 83" or the Bravia 9 85". Is it worth sacraficing the 2" to go with the Oled? Price isnt a concern.

I literally had both of those TV's side-by-side in my dark, well designed room and kept the 83" G4. The OLED black details are more pure compared to the Bravia 9, where the LCD's more purplish blacks are apparent.

If oled is sooooo great, ever heard of burn in? ABL? Image retention. Banding. Pink or green tints. Price. Small size. And no peace of mind when static bright lights are on a couple of hours a day, or even longer while gaming

I have but my 2017/18 LG that I have used for hundreds and upon hundreds hours of gaming , movies and regular tv usage. Haven’t even seen Image retention.. so no unless you has like zero brain and just let CNN run 24/7 this really shouldn’t be a worry. Considering my tv doesn’t even include most of the modern anti burn in features that was added the years after my tv. I wouldn’t worry now

I’ve had my LG CX 65” since 2020 and I game daily , watch movies, my kid plays on it as well. I do have Best Buy geek squad 5 year warranty so really wouldn’t care about issue as I would get a new one, but I’ve had 0 issues with burn in , TV has been 100% solid. I’m tempted to get a B9 or B8 or waiting for A95L to drop in price or stay with LG due to great experience and get a G4 in 77 or 83 if prices drop during Holidays

No burn in my E9 - 12k hours on vivid. Banding non issue B9 has much worse DSE btw. Price - G4 77 or s95d 40% cheaper than B9 in UK. B9 is brighter but not where it matters in small highlights in real scenes in dimmer. Also 2.6k nits in 10% and under is not that much brighter than 1500 nits, not night and day difference. You do lose 3D OLED effect which is quite a sacrifice as it prevalent in big portion of scenes. Where it would win is size. But 85” is not enough.

I disagree when someone says that a particular TV is the "best" or the "king of TVs." There isn't a single best TV for everyone; it's all about your personal viewing environment and experience preferences. For example, when someone claims that the Sony Bravia 9 is the best TV of the year, that's based on their own experience. The Bravia 9 is a mini LED TV known for its high brightness, which is great for rooms with a lot of natural light. But if you're watching in a dark room, you don't need a high brightness TV. In such cases, a mini LED TV might not be the best choice. In a dark room, an OLED TV is often a better option. OLED TVs provide perfect black levels and infinite contrast, which makes the viewing experience much more immersive in low-light environments. The self-emissive pixels in OLEDs can turn off completely, resulting in true blacks and stunning picture quality that is unmatched in dark settings. So, when someone asks, "What is the best TV?" the answer really depends on your specific viewing conditions and preferences. There is no one-size-fits-all answer.

The Bravia 9 doesn’t have perfect OLED blacks. What it does is bring out the definition within the blacks. It doesn’t crush out the blacks like an OLED does. Brightness with purpose. My 75 inch Bravia 9 is simply incredible. I had the LG G4 on order and canceled it. Saved me money and it has been more than worth it.

@@madpistol If you compare them side by side, the difference in contrast is so big, no amount of extra SDR brightness is going to make up for it. Unless you want your eyes soaring. In HDR, in over 95 percent of scenes, the brightness difference is minimal. B9 suffers additional problems as blooming, bad input lag for all gamers, it is more expensive, has bad grey uniformity, lower color gamut, and also has very, very bad viewing angles.
