Not only have I seen other videos showcasing the Sony B9/XR90 against the A95L, G4, and S95D with the same content you're showing and holding its own, but I own the 75" B9, and it does not look anything at all like what you're demonstrating here. The blacks, especially with local dimming set to high, are incredibly deep, contrast is astoundingly close to OLED, and blooming is virtually nonexistent. Regarding the backlight flicker/frequency with your camera, again I've not seen this in any other video besides this one, from numerous content creators. I don't know what's up with that B9 of yours that you're displaying, but I can honestly state as an owner of the B9/XR90 that this is not an accurate representation of the TV, quite the opposite.

The Q8FN really was and kind of still is something special every time I see it! Kinda wish I would’ve had one! Amazing that it actually beats the current flagship Sony! It’s actually really sad! You’re absolutely right. They absolutely should be ashamed of themselves, unless the developers really did have a vendetta against the Sony brand like you suggested! Absolutely crazy!

@JairoPL29Ай бұрын
That's exactly what I was talking about the other time to Samsung sellers, Samsung until Q9FN 2018, the blacks were almost OLED, without blooms or anything... maybe they were not the brightest in nits... but the contrast and blacks were very precise .. since the QN90A and until today, they are basing it only on Nits... which is the TV with the highest nits and saying it is the best... wtf? and they added the minileds... the minileds ruined the deep blacks by adding blooming to every TV that uses it... in exchange for what? of brightness? Who wants so much shine if their black ones with blooming are shit... Samsung is another like Sony... at least in the 43 and 50" models in Samsung series 9 since 2020 they are good... but from 55" onwards they are a bullshit... as for deep blacks...

You sure the Sony isn't doing HLG HDR and the Samsung isn't doing HDR 10+? Not a fair comparison. You do a disservice to yourself and the viewers just clicking through defaults instead of working through the actual settings. You skipped over "Contrast Enhancer," "Black Adjust," and "Peak Luminance." The standard settings show much more detail in the shadows and the highlights than the Samsung, and perhaps that's what Sony is aiming for, and yes, reduced contrast is necessary to get there. Your profanity-laden tirade is embarrassing, I could never imagine getting that upset over "Factory Defaults" being meh. And surely you know that real customers are going to trust true measurements and actual data instead of some dude cussing for 30 minutes looking like a fool.

Hello, I still have my Sony Bravia X950H from 2020, and I’m interested in trying your calibration for my TV. The only things that’s bothering me from the back of my mind is that your X950H Settings video is from 4 years ago. And I’m not sure if your current knowledge compared to what you knew 4 years ago would still make the X950H Settings relevant for 2024. Do you think your X950H Settings still holds up to this day, or will it need to be updated due to your extra 4 years of experience in this field? Edited: I just finished watching your unboxing video for the X950H, and the legs and the back of the TV looks completely different to the one I have. I checked the code on my TV and it’s definitely the X950H, but I’m not sure why yours looks different. 🤔

The more I look into the videos of tv (those 2 lasts year, I was not looking before, as my FHD is now reaching 11-ish years old) . I always thought that processing did jot cost too much in energy but required heating dissipation enough. Did the run for decrease of consumption really fucked up the game ?! (+aluminum price increase for radiators ? ) With a full talent used XR processor, Sony new techs should kick ass ?

At the cost of contrast shadowing and leaving odd black spots. Perhaps for games but out of interst what films do you want that much raised black for? Meaning quantity not quality. Raised enough for great detail or raised to raise?

I have owned a 75-inch Q8FN television since 2018, which I purchased as a floor model for 4,700 Canadian dollars. It remains the brightest television I have ever encountered, offering exceptional motion clarity. The picture quality is outstanding, and I have not experienced any issues with it. This television is operational for approximately 10 to 15 hours each day. Although it has been discontinued, if you happen to find one, I recommend checking the price, as it is still quite costly.
