Sony BRAVIA TV - Set Up and Quick Guide

In this video, I'm aiming to help you construct and setup your new Sony BRAVIA TV, and also give you a few useful "Getting Started" tips too! Those of you with new Sony TVs who are completely new to the BRAVIA world will appreciate this as much as a Sony Expert!

Hi Alex i have a Sony Bravia tv. But, i have a issue i wish to rectify A.S.A.P please!!! 😳😯 My problem is i set up my tv reminder manually & i can't find out how to delete it ( that peticular reminder for a programme) & i can't edit it so, i can't change it. & i have tried to find it to try alter or delete it & i just cannot find it 😠😠😠😠😠😠👎 & the programme i wanted to set a reminder comes on in a few days So, i do hope you can help me I have tried everything to solve this prob!em. But, sadly to no a avail. All i want is if possible edit the reminder if not delete the timer & try reset it. As it has not come up at the time i presumed i thought i set it at. ( obviously not!!!) I need to sort this problem out hopefully before monday UK time. Just incase for anyone else that may know & wishes to help . But, i am asking you first as you seem to have the best knowledge on these tv 's I DON'T usually have this issue but, for some unknown reason i can't solve it this time. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😯😯😯😯👎👎👎 I do hope you can. Hi, I cannot get the TV guide to work on my Sony Bravia. We have Virgin Tivo and I have to use that remote to get the TV guide up. I've searched under digital and analogue, have you any idea what I'm doing wrong please? Thanks in advance!

There are probably different procedures, depending on; country/state/county/city of residence, cable or dish company and equipment required. LIke with our cable company, you have to use their channel remote instead of Sony's, though that would be needed for some/many procedures. Perhaps a universal remote would handle the 'remote clutter' problem, don't know. For HD/internet on this cable system you need a modem, and those are due to be installed this weekend. I'll try to check back.

I have recently bought a Sony KDL-32W70xB Smart TV, I currently subscribe to a cable TV provider and have got it up and running receiving all online stuff as well as all the normal channels. Two questions: 1) Can I plug in a standard QWERTY keyboard for KZbin searches rather than using the unwieldy Remote Control or perhaps a remote wireless QWERTY keyboard. 2) To improve the sound can I connect my Technics Hi-Fi system (which has an external function on it with sockets for plug-in jacks) to the new TV to save me having to spend out on a sound bar. And if so can you please advise which connections on the TV that I need to plug into?

Can a modern smart TV be used with a simple TV aerial ? The reason I ask .. our bedroom TV stopped working yesterday and my wife went MAD. I suggested taking our Sony TV from the lounge but there was no option of selecting the input source to the aerial .. only HDMI or SCART options. Of course, I GOT THE BLAME I don't want to be buying a new Sony TV and find I can't connect it to the aerial

Get a set top box with an antenna input. Those usually connect via HDMI.

I have the bravia xdl-40xbr3 and scientific Atlanta 8300 cable box. No matter what I try, I cant get the tv to switch back to cable. I can turn the tv on with both cable and tv remotes but that's it. no menu, no options. If I can just get to the initial setup screen it would help

hey. when first setting up my tv and trying to auto-tune it, it says there are are 300(ish) channels found but then it scans again (after you input your region) and then says no channels are found. we have connected the relevant cables i.e antenna one, hdmi one (which comes from a freesat box), and the mains adapter. how can i get it to work?

Those videos of people getting on Google and downloading apps are people most likely using the latest models that have Android/Google TV. What it sounds like to me is that you have a Linux based Sony TV. In that case, you can’t download apps etc. as what you see is what you get on the Linux based TV’s. I recommend getting something like a Chromecast with Google TV that lets you download apps.

Trust me, Sony’s last long, I have the 2010 version of this model and I still use it to this day in 2023! Only thing that doesn’t work anymore are the internet features, but you can get a device like a Chromecast to fix that! Anyways I hope that you did end up getting one in that timespan of 10 years!

Be warned: Sony did a software upgrade. It screws up many cable connections. Sony took no responsibility for helping me fix this problem. Sony has terrible customer relations
