I learned that Steve knows more about Sony TVs than the rep I just spoke with on the phone. He told me my Sony 77XL did not include Power On Behavior when it had worked fine coming on to the last used input for the first ten days, then consistently came on to the Home Screen. He told me I had no recourse. This video showed me where to find Power On Behavior on the "Wrench" menu while it is not included in "Settings". Thanks, Steve.

Good tips, thanks. But the one burning question is - how do I disable/change the 3 repeating show plug pictures (ads?) on the Google Home Screen when For You is selected? I have had the same 3 pictures for days. I've seen them all and want to move on.

Use an apple TV, Google Chromcast, Roku. Otherwise the reason your TV has so many adds is because it's probably a lower end model and they use the adds to subsidize the lower cost. I don't agree with that, but it is what it is. What TV are you using?

Thank you for this great tutorial. What I'm trying to figure out in our app only screen is how to get rid of the movies/shows on the top portion of the screen that the apps are promoting (There are several pages you can scroll through). Deleting the apps off the home screen didn't do it. Thanks for any help!

It's bloatware being foisted onto us because it maximizes soulless corporate profits. Next up will be us forced to spend more money for the TV that doesn't have all this junk. You'll pay for the privilege of not being bombarded and cluttered by ads/trash.

The other question I had, for the inputs, like HDMI, is there a way to "rename" them manually? My soundbar and bluray both have their names in each HDMI input but on HDMI4, where I have my Cox cable box, it just says HDMI4, I'd like to add the word "Cable" or "Cox", it seems like you should be able to label the input manually, but I don't see an option to "move" or "clear" it from the choices. Any ideas on that? Thx.

I just recently upgraded my 10+ yr old Yamaha receiver to a new Sony 790. What I'm not a fan of is when I turn up the receiver volume the tv volume appears on screen and it's not matching what the receiver volume displays ie: the number. Is there a way to disable to volume indicator on the tv or at least match what the receiver displays?

Anyone have any suggestions for improving input change response times? I have a kd-75x77l with two computers and a PS-5 attached, and there's a good ten seconds where the screen is just black when I try to switch inputs. I also get a similar response within an hour of starting up the tv when video plays from my home pc. Any ideas? Thanks!

How do you turn off 'Ambient Mode' (in other words the screensaver) on a SONY Bravia 4K VH2 model? I would like to use my USB drive photos as the source of the screensaver, yet I have not found a way to make that happen! So, if I can just turn off the screensaver mode/ambient mode it would be GREAT because every 10 minutes it pops over to the screensaver. Thanks for any possible answers! Thank you for the great info! Was hoping to find some more info on it in this video, or anywhere for that matter, but what does the MENU button do? When I press it, it brings up a bunch of menu options, but the menu options (like pressing "Display" for example) don't do anything. Using an Xfinity cable box with my A75L, what is this MENU function for? Not even Sony's help guides really explain it.

The bit at 4:30, I don’t see any option to add apps in that input menu at all. Mine is a 2024 bravia 3 and 9, not sure why it’s not present. I checked online, and they say the peacock app is an issue, and removing It fixes this, but I’m not in the US so I already don’t have this app and still this menu is broken.

One of my cats stepped on the power button on the surge protector when the tv was off. I was wondering if you have any tips on unfreezing my Google Home Screen all the directional arrows on the remote are unresponsive. Everything good when selecting TV for local cable channels. Could u tell me how to set the best equaliser settings for hearing tv speakers sound somehow high or rich sound in less volume level below 10? After one month of purchasing new XR-55X90L , demo installed by sony technician, sound is good at a very less volume less than 10, in tv channels, in OTT platforms are good at same volume level between 5-10, now by today, while seeing tv channels and OTT platforms at 7-10 volume level, sound is very low, not able to feel the good sound experience like before. How's happened? Whether my father accidentally changed settings in equaliser by reset or what happened i don't know?! I tried reset, changed the volume offset to maximum, tv speaker sound quality now is not as same before yesterday. My father too didnt know how's it happened!? I am requesting you to tell me whether if i change the equalizer settings in sound, which are the frequency has to be in low, max, medium level in every frequency? Whether by changing the frequency equalizer settings in sound, is it possible to give good rich sound in less volume level from 5-10?

Hello, I’ve noticed you have the little white illumination in the middle of the bottom bezel always on. We recently got Bravia x94k, but I don’t see an option anywhere to turn it on permanently, only to light up when there’s an input made on the remote.
