We need to remeber,l that these are real sensors in these cameras, not micor-sized smartphone sensors. On top of that, remember the engineers already took a microscope to the A7S III sensor, and found that it was actually a 60 something megapixel sensor that had been physically moddified to binn down to 12 (and the other 60 somthing MP camera released nearby it takes low-light video that is uncanny with how close it is but I digress) This isn't a few years ago. Sony has been carving out a sensor that can gather as much light if not more. On top of that, 8K isn't going anywhere. Lomg story short, they would be more than capable of creating a 33 megapixel+ sensor that has way better light gathering capabilities than what we have, especially in full-frame form. Tossing the A7S III's sensor into a bite-sized body screams that they've done it in my book.

Do Not hold your breath as these changes are incremental & insignificant compared with upcoming DJI Mirror less camera which is a complete Hybrid camera with the best ibis, autofocus, 8k, storage, file transfer, dynamic range and above all No rolling shutter.
