Sony CCD V6000 Hi8 test footage in 2022

I am curious if the direct output on the back can be of similar quality. As I reckon it could make a half decent camera for armature digital photography with the serial being encoded directly into digital adapter or capture card

Hi, can you recommend a Hi8 camera that makes similar videos as the V5000/6000 but is more portable and you don't have to carry it on your shoulder? The other Hi8 cams I see on KZbin don't take such soft colorful smoothe pictures and all have such a hard sharp aesthetic.

CCD V6000 is the best Hi8 camera what I tested till now.

@@BärenmarkeScotch Post production is useless without a decent quality source image. If You like to use Hi8, then a V6000 (or better) is a minimal requirement for a usable quality image.

Oh I thought V5000/6000 is the best. so which hi8 cam is the best in your opinion? (And are they all necessarily so big that you have to carry them on your shoulder?)

@@BärenmarkeScotch look at the VX1E. this one should theorically be superior to the V6000, as it's a 3CCD model and not a shoulder model, but still bigger than others handycam of the era. and yes, postprod is mostly what make the difference for youtube. as long your original footage is not garbage, of course :) but i also think you can seriously consider shoulder models. for zooming, there's no secret : shoulder was the best picture stabilizer of the time :)
