Too much. It's great camera, I really enjoyed shooting with it. It's geared for Video shooters, although you can shoot pictures with it, it's more for video shooters.

In the old days before gimbal and video auto focus, you would need a steadicam operator and a focus puller. Today, one person can do all that and the no focus puller can maintain that kind of locked on autofocus that the a7S3 or FX3 has.

You’d need to be son of man himself to maintain focus at these F-stop on lenses this fast. What Sony did here is pretty much miracles😂 It’s an amazing tool. I even used it on my first commercial with the A7Siii. But obviously this won’t work for every shoot, so our Focus Pullers are safe😁

It’s made for us Cinematographers for sure. And no overheating problems. I’m shooting in hot South African sun, that fan is a great addition to the system.

Great question. If you are a Video person you don’t really need it. I took a bunch of stills with it on set, I didn’t seem to miss the EVF. In any case I believe if you are Buying an A7Siii you are more prone to be a video person, so both cameras are good. It’s a taste thing which one you get. But I’ll tell you now, I want a FX3. It’s really great!

I have to say my favourite shot is the one of the falling bucket (I wonder how many takes were done to do this shot) and my second favourite is the one with the sparks, I love how this camera excells in low light. Great review grootman please do more of these 🙌🏾

We did the bucket shots a total 5 times. Different angles. The bucket hitting the ground was only one shot, get I was lucky😂 The low light performance with S-Cinetone is awesome, shot those sparks scenes at 640 ISO🙆🏾‍♂️

I own some EF glass and I'm a Canon user looking at the Canon R6 and the Canon C70 for my next cameras; but, the footage I'm seeing from those cameras doesn't compare to the footage I'm seeing from the A7S III or the FX lineup. I'm sure it's the users, you did a great job with this; but, I'm also considering going Sony more...

I really enjoyed shooting with this cam, mind you I didn’t have it for long, but still managed to get footage like this. Just shows it’s a versatile camera that most will enjoy using. It’s made for people who wanna shoot video, and it’s very reliable. Shot in the hot sun and it never showed a sign of stopping.

Most of the A7s3/Fx3 footage ive seen has a lot of noise but your looks so clean. Did you always keep your iso 640 or is it cleaning up in post ? Also is s-cinetone better than slog3 for reduced noise in shots. Thanks and great video by the way!!

Thanks mon, happy you liked the footage. The camera is a beast for sure. Didn’t shoot 640 all the time, info is on the bottom left. Did 160, 320 as well. I didn’t put any noise reduction in any of the day shots, only a couple of the Sunset shots. Didn’t have any intense noise, almost all the footage was clean, even the shots I took in 1080p. S-cinetone handles Grain better than Slog 3 in Low Light environments.

I suspected that your f-stop was responsible for the not so crispy focus for a brand new camera on the market. Don't get me wrong, the video is great (no critic there) I was just not sure why this sharpness for a new camera in 2021. Thanks for this video. Big up to Melicia and the dance crew!

Yeah shot almost everything at 1.4 to 2. If you stop down more if you want it to be sharper. Watch the final video as well so you can see the shot selections.
