Love the authority and expertise here, and all the real life clips to make the point. Thank you!

Thank you! I’m glad it helped!

I thought the point about the ND filter and all the tools that are easy to replace was very to the point. There are also a lot of things that are dispensable and these points are definitely among them. Well said!

I had the A7Siii and it wasn't for me but I can see the value and the appeal of the FX3

What do you use now?

Thats all great and all until the firmware update bricks your camera and sony refuses take any accountability for their own broken bullshit buggy software. Also no open gate and internal raw recording in 2025 is a joke.
@cinematicsonly4 күн бұрын
Agree on the open gate recording, but I’ve never felt like internal raw is a necessity in the target market the fx3 sits in. Internal raw would be great to have for certain instances, but if you get settings right in camera, no need for the extra flexibility in post that comes with raw footage. If I really wanted raw, I just hook up an atomos and record externally, but definitely can see it as a downside if you’re working with a colorist or need a lot of that flexibility.

I’ve only ever edited BRAW like once or twice, but you made me more interested so I’m gonna look into it 👀

Whether it is or it isn’t, you don’t have to be an absolute ass. There are ways of making a suggestion without sounding like a giant dick cheese.

I love how most camera guys are flexing their specs but i see no content. This is not personal to you. Just saying 🫶🏽
@cinematicsonly3 күн бұрын
totally agree I love reviews that show equipment in situations that necessitate that piece of gear, since it helps showcase the best uses! Definitely one of my goals this year is to try and do that a lot more to help everyday creatives get insight on pieces of gear!

@ thats why I said this is not to you, but in general. I love hearing about the gear and specs also. But I notice that it is becoming a popularity game. And I love to see the creativity of filmmakers. But keep on making content cause the video is great.

Nah I appreciate it! I know you weren’t commenting about me either 🙏🏻 I felt too that I could have shown more in this video like more b roll on how I adapt the camera in different situations. I’m grateful for the support and I love the feedback! Helps me get better 🫡
