As an A7S III owner that shoots run and gun, i would take the tally lights over the EVF

Clear image zoom bro, clear image zoom 😌 Oh and if I’ve ever had an issue with a card it’s been Lexar. 4 failed in multiple cameras. Never any issues with Sandisk, Sony tough , or Delkin though. Keep up the work 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

This was awesome! I also love the Super 35 mode on my A7RIV. Bummed it doesn’t really work the same with the FX3. My work around was to set the zoom rocker to Clear Image Zoom - and I can still get a really sharp 1.5x zoom with that.

Wouldn't super 35 mode on fx3 would lessen the video quality a great deal because this is only a 12 megapixel camera?

Just subbed, hope that 10k ticks over real soon! What would you do about attaching a monitor when you have the XLR handle on? Seems almost like a necessity with the low-res screen and no EVF.

Thank you!! And there is a mounting point on top of the handle if you want. Personally the flip out screen is still plenty for mostly what I need these days

Clear image Zoom is as good as crop mode and has less noise, though you do loose eye detect. Here's an interesting comparison if you search "Sony A7IV - Clear Image Zoom vs Crop Mode - Surprising Results!"

I heard there is a built-in mic in the top handle but I'm curious to know how it sounds with just the camera body and no handle or external mics plugged in. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I haven’t tested the in camera mic, it’s just in the body. The mix that goes with the camera is not included, it comes extra

I know that probably no one would want to use audio from the camera body mic but I guess I just thought for stealthy and quick situations where I don't want to attach any mic to it. It's a A7Siii variant, yes, but it was not meant to be a hybrid camera to be specific, talking a lot about still photography is basically laughable.
