Looks fantastic man, how many of these shots were above 2500 ISO? I have the fx30 and I love it to death but due to the poor performance of the low light im thinking about sending it back to amazon. I want to try a 1.4f lens first tho as I believe I can make it work. I don't want to crank the ISO in Slog 3 tho as it gets so noisy but all of these shots look clean. Just curious what the ISO range was and how much de noising you had to do?

Hello, mate. I dont remember exactly how many of shots were above 2500, but sometimes I push to 6400 and no problem, you have nail the exposure, because if you expose to dark and try to brighten it up with software it will always bring a lots of noise. I personally think fx30 + 1.4f lens is good enough at least for me to shoot in the night city, big cams like Sony a7s3 if you expose bad they also give lots of noise. Try S-Cinetone in low light, probably will give you less noisy footage and its easier to work with. I believe I did denoise only a few shots, all the shots in the city with lights they are natural. Next time when I make such a test video, I will write all settings.

I use Da Vinci Resolve Studio, it’s paid version and it comes with denoise, but u can do it with free version too it just a bit more complicated.

Did you make sure you had the iso setting to (H) 2500 iso, which is the second base. I only Realized you need to have that switched on rather than bumping up the (L) 800 iso to 2500.

Thanks a lot man! So for low light shooting you want to open your lens as wide as possible, mine was 1.4 . Shutter double of your frame rate so thats 1/50 and then use zebras to expose for highlights. So you have to play it around diff light conditions, diff ISO, but mostly I try not to pass 6400, but you do it, it will be a bit noisy, then I denoise footage with Da Vinci resolve.
