Sony HDR-CX150 Video Test Disneyland & Hotel Waterfalls & Koy Fish (now Gone!)

(Update! Waterfalls and Koy Fish at Disneyland Hotel are now gone to make way for more Wedding event space and a new Pool. I had no idea at this time that i would be taking the last shots of the fish and Waterfall. So Sad to see these go!!!)
Shot some video at Disneyland to test out my new HD Sony HDR-CX150 Camera. 16gb built in. Used setting "hdhq, iauto off, steady shot standard and no wide angle lens.
P.S. color of video did reduce by 10% must be the video conversion to youtube.

Thanks for posting this! We hope to get to DL soon this gave me a good idea on how the footage would look. We just bought our HDR-CX150 today (after using a Sony Hi-8 for the last 8 yrs!) and I haven't even taken it out of the box. What do you recommend for cases? Will I be able to find a super small case with a long strap? The Sony cases I've seen so far are pretty big. Thanks! :)

Thanks for the video. And I have to agree with your comment that something happened to the color in conversion somewhere. I have the same camera and use iMovie also. The videos normally come out looking great, that is until they hit KZbin. Also something that I noticed with the camera. it seems to handle low light better at the highest quality setting. I could tell a distinct difference in night shots that I filmed at 720 and 1080. The dark areas were not as grainy.

@Laniemarie427 Sure no problem! Well im using a Disney camera case that i bought there at Disneyland it fits perfect. bag is not too big. But i also saw some cases at wal-mart that are not to bad. Make sure you change your video record setting to 17/mbs HD to get the full hd quality of video. Don't use 24/mbs HD you wont be able to burn dvds with that. Youll get 1 hour record time with 17mbs HD setting

@doubledeeder Well it depends on the video if it needs a color boost at all? Day shots I would boost the color but night shots i would leave alone. But that's just me.

@mrmax2132 I used imove on my mac. It is a video program that helps put in the cuts to blend together. The camera dose not do this!

@vickie2491 I think i bought camera for about $379 online. Sorry cant remember what website. Its a Full handheld camera with 25x zoom 300x digital, 16gb built in memory. But there is a new model out now look for HDR-CX160

@alainp1020 I USED IMOVE USING A USB CABLE TO IMPORT THE VIDEO. I USED THE USB CABLE THAT COMES WITH THE SONY CAMERA.

Can I record movies even when the LCD display is closed? or it is completely necessary to keep it open all the time while taping? Hope you can answer my question, thanks in advance!

Did you use firewire, hdmi or usb cable to upload to Imac? Or did you use a flash memory card? I have the same video cam and Imac also but using the usb cable does not work.
