This review was done on my birthday and I just bought the Skull Candy Crushers yesterday after returning these ones. I paid an extra £40 but I was not disappointed. I wanted that heavy bass and I finally found it 😭🤪

I bought a pair and love them. I have been walking around my house with them on blasting music and shouting at my family. I could turn them down or take them off to talk to everyone but they are so nice and it is fun to scream at folks and to dance around the kitchen like no one is watching. :D

hi im having a problem with hearing music on them thru my laptop. everything seems right and even i hear on my head phones bluetooth on when it conects with laptop but i cannot hear anything thru it. why? i'm lost, don't know if they are bad headphones or i need to do something with the app in order to work? on my cell phone right away kicks in but laptop sound won't come out? see if u can give me some pointers

Dude, had me laughing out loud with all that fun you're having with the extra base on. I bought these refurb for $33 in Late april 2019. Been using my old wired MDR-XB300 recently from years agooooo Still great base headphones even though the pleather on the ear-pads are flaked off almost completely. Thanks for the review!

I’ve had the for a year now but an issue occurred recently with the right side. Where it would normally twist to fit and comfort you head mine somehow broke off and I can see the wire. The sound still doesn’t works tho but it won’t go on my head without slipping off in a matter of minutes.Help?

I've had the original XB950BTs since January 2017 and they've been rock solid. But I'm gentle with all my stuff and I knew the swivel hinge would be a fragile point from day 1.

Yeah I was surprised too. They aren't bad by any means, but they are not super crisp. Having said that, I didn't use the app and maybe that could help. For sure any phone EQ would fix it.

Had mine in their case most of the years since 2015. They’re super muddy and I didn’t know till recently putting them on again after years. Going really into audio equipment since so I was blown away to how bad the audio quality was I’d listen to

I almost switched to these from my Crusher Wireless (I got the Crusher Wireless for free too) and you made me realise I should think twice! You're right about how adaptable the Crusher Wireless are. I found my varied playlists would need me to move the slider as the bass could ruin some tracks. But overall I should stay content for now!

I have the first generation wired version of them (MDR-950AP). I don't know if they sound the same. I'd be surprised if they did as the AP's honestly sound like crazy (literally no highs and mids, just bass...), which is different from your review...

Go to my headphones playlist (I think it's on my main page). I really like the Plantronics I did recently. Not too expensive and have great overall sound. If you want something cheap that sounds good, a lot of the Bluedios like the UFO's do a good job as well.

I have both. Love both. But they are different sounding. Both have amazing bass but Skullcandy has haptic feedback that you can feel and these have deep bass you can hear. Hard to explain but they are both excellent. Crusher Wireless are my favorite because they are fun.

I'm far from a audiophile but I do put a lot of time and research into my music headphones, speakers etc... I'm thinking I'm gonna go ahead and try out the Sony's becuase I've heard they sound better all around. They're able to enhance the base while keeping the highs and mids well decent? Are you able to back this up? Or would the crusher wireless still be better all around?

To be clear, the Bass on the skull crushers are an artificial bass. You should be able to check them out at a local Best buy. The Sonys are a more natural bass with a deep response. One thing I do like about skull crushers are the mids and highs are unaffected by the bass slider. Both are excellent.

Travis McP I made a decision and ordered the Sony's, I'll probably get back to you about how it goes. I figured the worst that can happen is I decide I don't like the sound and return them. I ended up going with the Sony's after comparing and deciding for the price Sony's aren't bad at all. I do have a small preference becuase the artificial bass isn't exactly my speed. Don't get me wrong it's pretty amazing but mostly undeed for what I was looking for. Thanks again, I appreciate it... you have a long term supporter and sub 👊🏽

I"m not sure they are good gym headphones. They are great for around the house or at work. SkullCandy crusher wireless would be loud enough.

Haha I should do a video on this. I Love both of them. Skullcandy are more fun but Sony are more deep/real bass. Both are amazing. Skullcandy most of the time but Sony for music listening where I am not in the mood to have my brain tickled.

These sound amazing. They do tend to break. Mine broke on one of the Y tines going to an ear cup. It may have been stepped on or merely dropped. I don't remember any sudden accident like that, though I do listen in a darkened room. I would recommend not tearing them off the head with only one earcup. Grab both and slide off gently. PS> Mine still work well. Just a lot of nerdy duck tape to keep the earcup on. I don't take them out of the house, so no problem. But takeaway, they are fragile a bit.

The bass is fake sounding and the drivers distort at high volumes. It literally sounds like someone singing into a fan. I had $50 wired sonys that sounded better and had more bass and they weren't even marketed for bass. These are a gimmick, look elsewhere. They sound like complete crap when turned up.
